Hello, My name is April and I had my surgery on May 4, 2004. It is so hard to believe that it's been almost a year. Time is flying. I have lost 145 to date. Don't get me wrong I am extremely happy with my progress thus far but I am getting a little frustrated. You see, I have been at the same weight now or up and down 2 to 3 pounds since Nov. I go between 246 to 243. What is up with this? I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!! I have tried going back to liquids. I lost 2 pounds. Upped my exercise, cut out carbs.....AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! I have tried focusing so hard on where I have come from instead of where I wanna be but it is really getting hard. I do get in my 70 grams of protein, 80-100 ooz if water daily. I exercise at least 3-4 days a week. Does anyone have any ideas? Irish Pixie how bout you? You are doing so good. I follow your progress. Any and all input is greatly appreciated. I am bound and determined to get at least 60 more pounds off. Thanks for listening and responding to all. Whewwwwwwwwwwww!!! I needed that.

Hello May Lady! Sounds like you're doing all the right things. Protein, water, exercise. Maybe increase all these things. Stay positive and focus on your success up to now. Keep us posted. Melissa 270/151 5'2''

Hi April... All of us have been going through this!! Just keep up the good work. It has to start working sometime!! Right? I have started logging in on fitday.com It counts your calories, and you can log all kinds of things in...it has helped me!! I haven't lost any weight yet...but, i have only been doing this for a week or so. It has really cut my calories and made me get going on my walking!! Good luck!! Jeannie

Hi April!! Welcome to the May peoples board! Several of us are going through what you are going through. It IS frustrating!! I actually went UP about 3 pounds and got that back off but I am stuck at 206. I am so happy to be where I am as opposed to where I was, but it is still aggravating! Just keep doing what you are doing and eventually it will come off. I think our bodies have to periodically "rest" to catch up with all the weight we have lost. At least YOU are exercising, I STILL can't seem to make myself do any. I'm proud of you!! You be proud of you too!!!

Hey you sweety you ! Now let's see .. you are doing your protein .. try to get it up a little more .. your water looks fine ... Exersise .. now here is the trick .. change what you are doing .. if you are walking .. try swimming .. if you are doing arobics -- try walking . Your body becomes acustomed to certain activities .. and it slows down the fat burn . Change up . And If you are not walking ..start .. no matter whether you exersise or not .. It will - I swear speed up the ole motabolism . Looking at your begining weight you have done awesome . And I know what it feels like to want to get to your goal . What is your calories for the day .. I still keep mine @ 700 to 800 cuz I am trying to loose the last 5 pounds . I truly hope I can maintain as even with 10 months out .. I still find it hard to eat sometimes , Any hoo . Let me know what you think .. about trying the exersise and uping the protein .. remember though.. ask your doc first ! Love ya , Nat The Pixie ...

We had surgery the same day! You look wonderful and I am happy for your success. I have lost 85lbs and I am very happy. I am struggling with body image because I still see myself as fat. I weigh 136lbs and I am 5'1. Your weight will come off before you know it. We are still in the 18mos range where you lose the most weight. Stick to what you are doing and the weight will start coming off again.

Hi April - I'm also stuck at one weight since around Christmas. I've lost 92.5 lbs and go up and down a couple depending on how much salty things I eat. I have about 40 more to lose to be at the lowest the surgeon wants me at. My hubby is in the same boat with all of you here. In fact I posted to the April board on his behalf asking for advice just like you. He also is frustrated. We see the surgeon and if I get any useful advice from any other sources I'll pass them on to you! Best Wishes - Melissa

Hi April - I just wanted to update you. Went to the surgeon today for hubby and my check up. He was amazed when I told him what the scale said in his office. 182lbs. He made me go and get on another scale cause he didn't think I looked like I weighted that much! Made me feel great. But he said he can't understand why I still wt this much, lol. I told him I don't understand either? No advice - just to continue what ever it is I'm doing. He is putting in the paperwork for my tummy tuck/hernia repair to the insurance company. I need to take one more picture of my tummy and the rash for the "hygiene issue". That way the ins. company will pay for the tummy tuck portion (the hernia repair is no problem). I see him again in 2 months - should hear from the insurance company in about 2-4 weeks. So cross your fingers - I may have another surgery date at my next visit! Melissa
