Wow JOhn it looks like you are doing great with protein!! Keep up the good work. I have never had a perogie, what is it? Maybe it is best I havent heard or tried them, since you seem happy they are out of the house now, lol- Melissa

Protein has been easy for me. When I have been working out and exercising I find that if I drink a protein shake afterwards I can actually feel the effects. It might be all in my head but I still feel better. As to perogies, they are sort of like a ravioli. Pockets of dough stuffed with Cheese and Potato, or Potato and Sauerkraut, Just Sauerkraut, or Onion and Potato. Groing up many of the eastern ethic churches (Pollish, Ukrainiane, Slovak) sold them at Easter time, when you're not supposed to eat meat on Fridays in order to raise money. A total comfort food for me. My wife found frozen low-fat perogies in the freezer section of our store. We tried baking them and they were great. Other ways to make them, boil them and the cover them in sauted onions, or deep fry them. But that sort of defeats the purpose of the low-fat ones. Nutritionally, they have too many carbs but fairly low in calories and so-so on protein. Not a great choice but not a terrible one either.

I have never had one of those subway wraps, I will have to try one, I heat the are yummy! I know I have to up my calcium, my Dr might put me on calcuim citrate when I go see him. I do ok with dairy, however with milk it tends to make my tummy upset. Thank you sweetie, and dont feel pressured into posting everyday. I have to, because if I dont I will be back to not posting and probably not eat so well. Take care and I know you will get that protein in today, lol- Melissa
