Help!!!
hELP--ANYBODY--I have been reading your post on what everybody eats in a day. My question---are any of you hungry? I could not get by with what some of you eat in a day. I am hungry---I get my protein drinks and my two to three (16.9) bottles of water in a day. I make myself eat a light breakfast. But I am hungry at lunch and dinner and want to I eat. Not anything like I did before surgery--but I eat normal size portions. Did my surgeon make my pouch too big? I have stopped losing. I don't exercise. NOw that it is warming up I plan to get out and walk. I have lost 96 pounds but I would like to lose about 25 more. Is this just me or is anybody else experiencing this too??? Thanks, Sandra
Hi Sandra,
I think everyone is having the same problem!! I know my surgeon has told me I will lose more slowly now, than what I did in the beginning. It is super easy at first...but, then we keep trying new things, and not getting as sick, and we probably just are eating the wrong things. I know that I am.
I know that my pouch was bigger than what they normally make them, because of some complications in surgery. But, I keep using that as an excuse. I need to stop that!!
I am hungry too...and I eat normal size servings...nothing like what I did before. I am maintaining. But, I still want to lose 70 pounds. So, I need to do something different!!
Can't wait to start walking again outside!! That will help.
Keep going...don't get discouraged!!

Sandra- REmember we are all losing slowly now. I havnet lost any weight for about a month now and it drives me crazy. I know I am different now being pregnant and will more than likely not lose anymore till after the baby, but I see alot of ppl who are at a stand still. Some days I think I eat way too much, then others very little. I notice when I do eat, that I seem to eat normal size meals also. Just keep trying, and dont get down about it. I too am not a big exerciser, and cant wait for warmer weather to go swimming. That is where I get alot of my exercise or at least I did last summer.- Melissa
I am also not losing. So today I'm back to the basics. I'm doing 2 days of mainly protein shakes with one sensible meal. Then on Monday, back to 3 meals, mainly protein - about 3-4 oz, and 3 milk snacks. Nothing more excep****er.
I wonder if part of the problem is also, that we are all fairly close to goal and feel we can cheat some now. I know that's been a problem for me. Remember, just because you CAN eat a normal size portion, doesn't mean you SHOULD! Hard to remember that, isn't it?
My surgeon also says that women in particular, tend to plateau around 100 pounds. We just need to remember how big we were when we began this journey and how far we've come. Try not to be too hard on ourselves and get back to the program. Exercise is a HUGE problem for me right now. I hate it. But I'm going down soon and get on the treadmill. UGH. But I really want to get to my goal. It's in sight and attainable. Keep to the program like we did in the beginning. It's all in our heads. We control our own destiny. We were given a great tool but it's ultimately up to us how we use it.
