last week i had a bad experience. i have been sick with the respiratory flu and since i have asthma it makes it more complicating. i went to the doc and she put me on predinsone, robitusiin AC (Codeine) and levaquin. and breathing treatments all at home. last night at 7pm i took 2- tylenol pm's and 1 teaspoon of the cough medicine. at 10pm i was still awake and needed to get some much needed rest, that i wasn't able to get due to trying to cough my lungs out!!! my parents had just gotten back in town from atlantic city. they found me dazed and confused. so they called the EMS. i was taken to the hospital and i didn't recall anything till about 5am. the doctor came to see me at about 2pm the next day. she was asking me did i remember what we had disscussed and all. she said she thought i tried to kill myself because i have truly been under alot of stress with a friend dying from post surgery complications. so she said go home comtniue the medication. well by the next day i felt even worse with my breathing. so i went to the er. i was admitted on wednesday and discharged on friday. when i made my follow-up appointment this past monday my doctor being the @ss she is (and i don't talk like that about doctors) told me that i was being manipulating and again she said "when you tried to kill yourself" i said I DIDN'T TRY TO KILL MYSELF> i was trying to get some sleep. i had taking these medicine all the time was i weighed 470pounds. she thinks that i can't that all this medicine anymore. i didn't appreciate her comments and also this is a big thing. when i signed in to see her, i relized i didn't have my checkbook with me. i told the staff i would bring it back our mail it. then i turned around and relized that there was all the different smells in the waiting room. the staff had just cleaned. i couldn't breath with all those scents. i was standing between the outside doors. and the secretarty came out and said "we can't see you because you have a $38 balance." now i think its the most rediculous thing that you have to pay your co-pays before the doctor see's you in the first place. then they can refuse to see you if you don't pay the co-pay on the spot. i never have a balance and i'm not sure where it came from. i have to check it with my insurance group. but lets just put it this way, i was litteraly in tears when i left her office and I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO SEE THIS B***CH AGAIN. SO A word of advise if you used to take alot of medicine to get to sleep when you were heavy don't take as much to get to sleep. thanks for letting me VENT.

I am so sorry honey! People don't realize that our brain didn't change when we shrunk... for most of us we are still as big as we ever were in our heads and doing things like adjusting dosages is probably something that didn't occur to you. Doctor sounds like an a$$... glad you'll get a new one.
