Hello friends! I need your help! I try not to ask for things for myself but i'm getting desperate. Over two months ago I had major knee surgery. The physical therapist wasnt aggressive in therapy and allowed my recovery to fall weeks behind. The surgeon referred me to a new therapist and things were progressing. I was able to go two weeks with the new one when the receptionist informed me that the insurance deductible started over and I had to pay the whole $250 up front. Well, I lost my job 1 week after having this surgery because I couldnt return to work fast enough. I wasnt able to drive and my job was 40 something miles away. Needless to say, without an income I cannot pay the deductible. So therapy is out for now. I'm still in so much pain with this. Sleeping is very difficult as any degree of bend in my knee causes pain and it wakes me up. Without pain medication I cant sleep more than 20-30 minutes at a time before waking in pain. Lack of sleep is making me grouchy. Financial strains are driving me crazy. I've sent out resumes and havent received a single call for an interview yet. My husband is worried about our finances. I wish I never had this damn surgery and feel i'm never going to recover. Please... any of you that wouldnt mind, please pray for me. I'm desperate for devine intervention here. I feel the hands of depression grasping at my ankles, pulling me down. I cry alot these days. Thanks so much for taking time to read this and any prayer you can offer. God bless you! Melanie

Melanie - That sucks about your situation. I wish there was some better advice than this to try if it is possible. Get a new Visa card with a low ($500) credit limit - put the $250 on it to get your butt back in therapy. You can make the minimum payment until you find work. Sending good thoughts your way.

(((((((((HUGGERZ))))))))))) Melanie- I'm so sorry to hear how miserable you are right now! I understand the nightmares of job change/insurance woes. I will keep you in my prayers, both for your knee and for your emotional health. Hang in there, things are bound to get better. Hugs, Susan

Hi Melanie, Gee, when it rains it pours, huh? Sorry to hear about all your troubles coming at once. I know how scary it is to be out of work and wondering where next month's rent is going to come from. And when you're in a lot of pain too AND not getting enough sleep, everything is bound to look its blackest. Just wanted you to know you've got a lot of friends out here in OH-land who will be sending you prayers and best wishes. You're made of strong stuff -- you've got to be to have gone through WLS -- and you'll get through this tough time too. Keep your chin up, and stay in touch. We'll be rooting for you. Donna

Now wait just one minute here Miss Melanie .. No quiters here .. you have come to far to give up now . Here is what I would do .. Get to a temp agency to get working . Then you could possibly go to your counties local health center to see if there is anything they can do for you . Sweety - you never give up .. Life sometimes is hard and you get delt crappy hands .. what you need to do is what you are doing .. putting it in Gods hands .. but he wants you to help yourself as well . If you do something everyday to better your situation .. something good your way will come . You are in my thoughts and prayers and we are here for you . Peace , Natalie

Dearest Melanie - I am so sorry to hear of all that you have had to endure and are still going through. I pray and know that the Lord will make a way for you! I pray that you will be uplifted through knowing that many prayers are being sent forth for you. PRAYER DOES CHANGE THINGS!!! Have you tried looking to the state for help with your insurance situation? I pray that the Lord will heal you and move quickly to turn your situation around. Just hang in there and look to the Lord to strengthen and bring you through! Many blessings - Barb

Hi Melanie, I just read today on the Chritianity Board that you needed prayer. Please know that I said a prayer for you. Please remember that the Lord will not give more than what we can handle. Leave it in his hands. Please take a moment to read what Randall posted http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/member-interests/christianity/postdetail/2903.html?vc=0 on the Chritianity Board. This is one is for all of us. God bless you. (((((many hugs for comfort)))) Letty

Hello Melanie In TN , I'm so sorry for the situation that you are in and I will do my best to remember you in prayer. The Lord know right where you are. Sometimes he brings us into situations to draw us closer to Him. Look for an email from me, I will send you some info about a Work from Home Program that my husband and I are involved in. You may find it to be something you are interested in doing. Take care and remember that God loves you and He is aware of your situation! Psalm 46:10 "Be still, and know that I am God..." P.S. If it will help you to feel any better read my story and you will see that you are not alone in your pain. Again, I will be praying for you! Lord Bless you.

Someone pput a link to your post on the Christianity forum, so lots of people are praying for you. I am praying for you Melanie. I just prayed prior to replying to your post. I prayed for the Lord to comfort you and help you financially and I prayed that very soon He will show you that He is in charge and has something better for you coming up. I know pain can cause terrible depression, and the sleep deprivation only compounds the depression. Hon, I don't know how else to comfort you but to tell you I will continue to pray for you. Lord bless you, Sherri
