RE: Century club, but not happy
Thank you all for the congratulations and well wishes. My husband and I have talked and I think we are going to give it another six months of a "trial period". The issue is not my weight loss, but the past 10 years of my lack of ambition. He felt we just didn't "click" any longer. I have explained to him that when you are over 100 lbs overweight there is little ambition to do anything and now that I have lost weight give me a chance to prove myself. I asked him if he would be willing to wait another six months to let me show him that I really do have more energy and feel better now. This won't be like before where I would get a bunch of stuff done and then feel like crap and do nothing for the next number of months. We are looking at it like a "business proposition". We have invested 10 years, why pull out when it finally looks like we can start receiving a return on that investment? Anyway, thanks for listening and always being here when a person needs help. Have a wonderful 2005 and wish me luck!
Thank you!

Kathy..
what an encouraging post! I'm happy for you and pray that your husband can find a place of encouragement and feel ok about contributing to the marraige now.
I would hope that maybe the two of you can seek out some sort of counseling and have a third party help navigate you two through this trial time and onto a more fulfilling life together..
Ever think of scheduling a "date nite" together? Regular scheduled evenings..weekly or twice monthly or whatever...just the two of you...
There's a lot of little things you can do to spice things up and get things back on a roll and out of just a "business agreement" mode.
Dr. Phil has good advice. Your local church or christian book store may have books to help you.
I agree, 10 yrs is well worth it...any marriage is well worth it...
Keep up the good work..
congrats on your weight loss..
best wishes,
K
