1 Year Anniversary SMOKE-FREE

I can hardly believe that JAN 1, I will be smoke-free for a Year. I am very proud of this fact. My doctor made me quite smoking before surgery but I am amazed that I had no problems staying smoke free after surgery! I am also down 102 lbs. 18 lbs from my goal. LIFE IS SO GRAND!!!! Pamela K

Congratulations!! I will be one year smoke free on February 9th, 9:20 am. I could have never done it without this surgery. Michele

Hi Pamela, Way to go on the weight loss, I can't believe you are only 18lbs from goal. That is quite an accomplishment. However, it is so wonderful that you have been able to remain smoke free. I am going on 5 years smoke free right now. It was so hard to do. I had tried to quit for 4 years off and on so many times I lost count. Keep up the great work and congratulations on both the weight loss and the smoke free. Life is good! Christie

Congrats! I know it's hard! I am now 9 months smoke free. Not a day goes buy that I don't think about it. Not in a good way either. I am wanting them so bad! I am also determined that the cigarettes will not win. I wonder how long it will take before the feeling subsides. I started when I was 14 and quit in 99. I started back in 2003 and quit again in April 2004 One month before my surgery. I will conquer this as I will conquer this weight issue! God Bless and Happy New Year! Lisa
