OK, I Screwed up....Words to the Wise!!!
Hi, everyone...one thing that I have learned from this board is that 'bumps' in the road DO happen and its how one responds to said 'bump' that matters!!!
Word to the wise...don't stop protein supplements...I did and well, ended up passing out in a store in my local area..God love them, they got me to the hospital and of course, they ran every test (heart, MRI, etc. etc.) and all is PERFECT. Best thing I can come up is that I just didn't get enough to eat that day and was in a hurry.etc..
BUT now I can't drive for 6 months until I haven't had an episode...Grrr...so its back to protein for me!!!!
Happy Christmas to everyone!!!
BIG HUG

Natalie,
Well...at least I know what happened!!! You're 1000% right, life can get going TOOOO fast....but I did learn my lesson on this one...
But with every bump is a silver lining....my dear daughter finally decided that she loves me after a 3 year of 'not loving' me....
Your input made my day...and let me know that 'stuff happens'! (teehee)
Debbie
I had a very wise boss who broke things down like this:
1) You can mess up everyday and it happens because you basically have little or no control over it. Example: Broken shoe lace.
2) You can screw up every now and then because you didn't do something you should have. It's things you could have avoided but for one reason or another you didn't. If you learn from it and own up to things you'll be fine. Example: Yours fits perfectly here.
3) You can "F"-up. These things are your fault. They impact you and others around you irrevicably and they are usually life altering either for you or others. And, even though you can own up to them, the damage is done. Example: Abusive parent.
His advice was live with #1's and go with the flow. If you get all bogged down with these things you'll be swamped fast. Worry about #2's and work on those because that's where all your growth potential is. Avoid #3's at all cost.
Thanks for sharing your lesson learned.
I feel for you Debbie. I'm 8 month post opt and I was having trouble with swelling in my legs. They ran all kinds of test and come to find out it is because I have no protein in my muscles. And since my surgery I can't do any types of meat. It doesn't matter if they are ground up or just small bits. Even the smell of them cooking makes me sick. I can't do pasta's either. I have been eating a lot of dairy products. Cottage cheese is a exc. protein source. But no matter how much I eat or drink it doesn't bring my levels up. Well I hope you have a nice Christmas. You hang in there. God bless. Sandy
