HOW MUCH MORE TILL GOAL??
My doctor and I never set an ultimate goal. I'm currently at 135 with a body fat percentage of 27% which is within normal range for me. So my trainer says that I am within "goal" range. I'd like to stay where I am and possibly when I get my tummy tuck I will lose a few more pounds and be "just right" at about 125-130. Honestly I consider myself at goal right now! YAY!
I feel like a slow loser, but it seems that I'm right with everyone else who started where I did.
I'm at 166 today (omg, still totally can't believe that). I was 262 at my consult last Feb and 245 at surgery 7 months ago.
My doctor never told me an official goal number-I think we're shooting for 149, which would put me in the "ideal" BMI range. I always thought it would be fantastic if I could get down to 180 and miraculous if I could get to 160. So here I am, six pounds from a miracle, and I still feel like I'm 250. I'm not sure how many visits to the eating disorders clinic it will take before I feel like I'm 166, but that's definitely a goal.
I have already MET so many of my goals. My health is almost 100% better (except my iron count is a smidge low). My blood pressure is consistently perfect. My body feels healthy, strong, and fit. I can exercise and enjoy it now. I can push away from my plate without being humiliated. I can shop in "regular" sizes and save bundles of money. I can play with my child. I can wear all the jewelry I've been toting around for years, even the choker necklaces. I feel good!
Thank you all my May brothers and sisters for being such a supportive group!
Hugs,
Susan
I started at 349 and I'm now at 220. My doctor said I could easily get to 150 because I do work out regularly and I watch most things that I consume. I need to work in more proteins - but most of the shakes make me ill.....so I eat foods higher in protein to try and compensate. I'm hoping to be close to goal at my year....then possibly begin the reconstructive surgery to remove the excess skin.
If I only got to 175 before plastics I'd be thrilled....but I'm gonna push to loose all the weight my doctor wants me to!
Everyone is doing such a great job with their weight loss.....my new nick name at my job is the "Incredible shrinking woman"......I love to hear that!!!
Happy holidays to all!!!
Hi Patricia,
Congratulations, you are doing great, but sorry to hear about your Gallbladder, hope you get thru the Holidays painless & feeling well!
I am thrilled to report that I am at my goal.... actually 2 lbs under. I started at 285, today weighed in at 166 (I'm 6' tall). Now, I"m trying to learn to maintiain....this is the hard part because I still generally have no appetite. I make myself eat 3 times a day, and now I'm trying to add in 2 snacks a day...makes me feel like I'm eating constantly..... who'd of thought I'd EVER think this was a BAD thing!!!!
Wish you continued success & very Happy Holidays!

268/166 at goal!
Hi Tricia, I started my journey at 236, I'm 5'3", so I look heavey. I weigh 155 now. I have been here for 3 weeks, hopefully not much longer. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the holidays....I would like to be 130. I am comfortable were I am. I feel great. My sugar in normal, that was my big thing. Your doing a great job. Keep it up.
