November Check in .. Tis the Season ???
Well here we are May Babies.... November... Fall.. Thanksgiving and yes .. the most wonderful holiday of them all CHRISTMAS is right around the corner . First I would like to say .. WOW look how far we have all come .. This will be my 6th month as a looser .. Feels pretty darn good .. and I wanted to see , just how we are all doing .. What are your expectations for the upcoming months .. and what will you be doing different this Holiday .. given the new life we have all been given ?
Well here is my run down ....
Total Loss : 103 pounds
Cut my hair .. ( Thank you hair loss monster )
Still struggling to find my niche as far as calories go ...
I can run now .. and have literally run my butt off .. ( did anyone see where it went ? )
My new goal is to begin running more and swim more .
This year I plan on cooking some of the great recipes from my WLS cookbook . I am going to use Susan Marias site for those special Holiday recipes .. I plan on eating lots o Turkey .. and Ham .. Maybe not so much Ham .. but Turkey - Yum .. I plan on getting out and really truly enjoying the holiday season .. Last year I did a lot of shopping but not at the malls .. cuz I had to walk.. This year .. I am getting out there among the crowds and going to wear some really hot sweaters .. and jeans .. and boots .. I am asking Santa this year for more clothes and this fab diamond bracelet and an emerald ring ( Irish of course )
So come on let me here it ..
And remember ... nothing taste as good as thin feels ...
Love you all !
Pixie ..
Hi Pixie,
Glad to hear you are doing so wonderful and have such great plans for the coming months.
I too am thrilled with my weight loss and plan on being much more active this holiday season because of it. I've lost 71lbs and now weigh 173. I plan on eating a variety of foods; I just plan on doing my meat protein first. I will have a bite of this and a bite of that so I don't feel deprived.
I really can't wait to find out what Christmas parties we're attending this year. I am thrilled with the idea of buying a sexy classy party dress in a size 10 or 12. I haven't bought those sizes in about 8 years.

Start weight 228
Current weight 140
Total loss 88
Goal weight I was thinking 130, though now that I am close 125 doesn't sound bad either.
I find that recently I have been able to eat more and I think it is because I have bbeen drinking beer. (carbonation=bad) Perhaps I need to just stick with a shot or something. Hard to drink cheap with no carbonation (shouldn't drink at all, I know).
Let's see... I am going to my brother's Chicago for Christmas. Looking forward to flying for the first time in years. To sit in a seat that I can actually fit in - WOW. I am pretty much an internet shopper but I assume my DW will want me to go out for some with her as well. Walking around is great but damn I hate just standing around - so I do a lap or two while she shops.
So far I have lost 130 pounds since surgery. I have lost countless inches - 14 from my waist alone. I actually completed 5k on the treadmill this week - it took about 44 minutes but I did it.
Hey sweetie!!! Its been a fast but slow 6 months, lol. I am still struggling with my weight loss, and my energy level seems to hit an all low again.
Heres my run down.
down 86 pounds
still in fatty clothes size 20
my hair well lets just say im on zinc biotin and have even started trying rogaine. My hair has always been thin but now it looks like I have a future in stock for wigs
Im excited about the holidays, but a little nervous since I will be making my own dishes to the family get togethers so I can eat too, lol
I plan on getting in lots of protein, and will have my treats when I feel the need for a dessert instead of trying little bits of the regular. I have been real good with no sugar and dont want to take any chances. Ive never dumped and plan on never. Ihope everyone has a great holiday and try not to get discouraged by not eating as much as you feel you might want to over the holidays. This has been a complete life change and it is for the best. I just hope I can get below the dreaded 200lb mark before the new year. I still have 12 lbs to go and they arent budging yet. Take care- Melissa
