Hey guys ...
I have been away from the board for around 2 months as I was getting discouraged about my weight loss ( 80 pounds since surgery) .. but I thought I would drop back in last night to see what was happening and I am once again hooked and feel better seeing people going through the same thing I am and having the same feelings I have had. I really struggle getting enough protein in and am really trying to get mine through actual food choices ( beef with fat free gravy- usually 1/2 burger, seafood, chicken, etc..) and am loving veggies too but have been plateauing almost every few weeks and this last one lasted almost a month !! I only lost 5 pounds last month and try not to let it bother me but it is easier said than done. I keep reiterating that look what I was like LAST year this time and am truly thankful and glad that I have lost what I have lost but sometimes my impatience shows through .. I have been and am still awaiting that breaking through of the 200 's ..I have been sitting on 200 for the past 3 weeks and it is driving me wacko That was my first mental goal and knowing it is so close but yet so seemingly far has been playing mind games with me ...I know the scale will move soon but in the meantime, it is driving me crazy ;)
Anyway, all this to say ..that last night when I came back to the board and started reading the posts again, it made me realize that you guys ARE the support I need and want . I love the *What did you eat today* topics too but some of you are eating probably 1/3 of what I was told to eat..Maybe I should cut back on what I eat ?I keep my calories around 900-1000 per day . I eat 3 meals a day and 1/2 of a protein bar for a snack and then drink the fruit punch protein ISOPURE during my drinking periods...I have started walking around 6 miles 2-3 times a week and have just begun to lift some light weights and do pilates ( just this last week) ...so I feel like I am heading in the right direction albeit SLOWLY !!! LOL
Thank you for being so sharing and forthcoming with your hurdles as well as your praise times !!! You all ROCK in my book !!! And I am ohhhh so proud of you guys !

I just hit six months and I'm down 78 pounds, you got me beat by 2 pounds that should make you feel better. It looks like we have the same goal. I only lost 7 pounds last month but I lost 3 inches in my waist. Did you take your measurements before surgery? Maybe you are losing inches. I wish I could get my much smaller and flatter butt moving and get some exercise. I know it would really help in my weight loss.
Try not to be so hard on yourself, when was the last time you have lost 80 pounds in 6 months?

WELL HELLO THERE!!! I have been hoping you would be coming back to this board soon. I have emailed you and haven't heard back . I was getting worried. I am so happy to hear that you are doing so WONDERFUL...and YES you are doing great. Think about it...when else have you lost 80lbs in 6mo and know it will stay off!!! Did Dr. Byrne really tell you how many calories a day you should be eating? If so I must have missed that...lol Check out my profile..one of the volunteers fixed it up for me. That is incredible that you are doing so well in the exercise department. I am still being lazy! I only do lots of housework and running after the kids. I have been very active on here until a few days ago...and of course that was when you finally came back..lol Welcome back...stay while!!
