No More Plateu??

Hi, I was on a platue for about 4 1/2 weeks, and just this week I lost 6 more pounds!! I upped my protein by having 2 protein shakes a day, and walked an extra mile on the treatmill 3 times a week!!! I also added my 5 1/2 month post-op picture on my web page. It's not on my profile yet, but if you want to see the huge difference, click on the www on the bottom and check out my pictures! I still see myself the same, but geez, when I took that picture and saw the difference, I couldn't believe it. I started out at a size 22-24W and I am now at a size 14. I have approximately 50-55 pounds more to lose, this is my personal goal. I go to the doctors office next week for my 6 months post-op visit and I had my labs done this week...so we'll see how I am officially doing next week. I also wanted to ask the Doc what his personal goal for me was. Tricia -76 lbs

Hi Tricia, Congratulations on your breakthrough! Plateaus (sp?) are the pits ... I've been stuck here for a month now myself and was starting to worry that this was going to be "it" for me -- well short of goal! But hearing that others are going through a similar stage just about now helps me keep the faith. I've gotten back on my treadmill once or twice, and I think I should really give those protein shakes a try. You keep it up -- you're looking very svelte these days! Thanks for sharing.
