They fit!
You are AMAZING! That has GOT to feel good!
I'm in 14s now, although, again, I think it's a big hoax by the manufacturers of clothing sold at WalMart. I'm also wearing a 36D bra, which seems impossible. I can even wear an underwire without PAIN! It does take about 5 minutes to get all the loose skin and flab arranged into the cups, but then it fits!
My winter coat is hopelessly large-it's an XL from Land's End that was too small to zip last year. This year it is so big that it lets in a draft (brrr).
I'm so glad things continue to go well for you. I can't wait to see an updated picture (hint hint)!!
Hugs,
Susan
Both of you are doing great!
Pants: I was in 58 waist pants - now 44's. I should have saved a pair but too many people seemed to need clothes on the exchange here so they went to a good cause. I did keep my belt - 14 inches of belt to wrap up is a pain at times. I get great pleasure adding holes to it when I need to tighten things up.
Shirts: I had 5X-3X depending on the maker and style. Usually a 20" neck for dress shirts but couldn't button the top button. Now I am in a 2X-1X shirt or a 18 1/2" - again depending on the maker and style.
I have fallen in LOVE with shopping - this is from a guy's guy. I never gave two %#*@'s about it as a pre-op - 99% of stores wouldn't have anything I could worn - so why bother, right? Now, just about any store has something for me.
I only hit the clearance or sale wracks. At WalMart I have gotten Faded Glory Polo shirts for $3 each, a short sleeve button down shirts for $5. At Sears I found a pair of Dockers for $8. Funny thing is now I get bummed out when they only have the big sizes.
Congrats to you, Gerriann!
I know the feeling. I originally was in 32 bottoms when I had surgery. I had been struggling in between sizes for the past few weeks; 28s were too big, 26s were too small. Well, yesterday I went to Avenue to see about grabbing some pants that were on sale. I tried on 26s, and they seemed comfortable - a little TOO comfortable. So I asked the saleswoman to grab some 24s for me, and they fit just great! It seems while I was waiting to fit into 26s, I've actually skipped them altogether!
I vary in the tops - I'm starting to swim in my favorite old 28s, so I guess it's time to let them go. I can now wear 22/24s, and even some 18/20s.

Hi Gerriann,
I saw your new pic and you are looking great. I have gone from a size 22(said I was in 20's, had to get the stretchy stuff) to a size 14 mostly. I still wear some 16's and some 12's. My jeans are 14's and they are getting a little loose.
I can't wait to see a single digit size now. I'm going for it!!!
