Greetings from Texas!!! New to this Site. 5 Months Post OP
Hi Everyone! My surgery was May 18th, 2004. I have lost 66 lbs now. I have much fatigue though. I have been doing this on my own and I know that it isn't helping me. It's great that I can go on this site and see how the rest of you are doing at this point in your success's. I am out on disability and can't do much for excerise. My legs and knees still hurt. I believe this will get better in time. Do any of you have these issues with fatigue and hurting legs and knees?
Thanks,
Patti
Hi Patti and welcome!
I had some of the same things that you are describing. I was vitamin deficient and needed to get some Thiman through an IV also I am getting a vitamin B shot every month for the first 6 months. It is not noticable unless you get some blood work done. I ended up falling down the stairs and passing out and taking a ambulance ride. Please call your doctor and get some blood work I feel so much better now that they have figured it out.
You are doing great and here is to hoping that your fatigue and pain is releaved soon!

120 pounds gone forever!
Hi Gerrian,
Thank you for your reply. I have had lots of lab work done and it was all fine. Even the B-12! They have also told me that this surgery can cause fatigue for 9-12 months afterwards. I guess this is an individual thing. I know I need to try and get more protein in each day. Thanks for your imput on this and congrats on 120 pounds. Thats awesome!

Hi Patti, boy we are neighbors!!! I live in Spring...just a stone's throw from Kingwood. I have a sister that lives in Porter. My husband and I used to attend Forest Cove Baptist until it was changed to second Baptist. We now go to a church in our neck of the woods. I had my surgery on May4, 04 and I am doing just about the same as you. I started out at 283. I will consider it a miracle to finally get under 200 again. I know I will! I am feeling wonderful! Sorry to hear about your disabilites. I hope you will be OK. I love this site. It was a life saver for me. I probably would not have gone through the surgery if not for all the support and info that I recieved on this site. I will close for now...I could ramble all night! ByeBrenda in Texas too!!!
283/216/170?
Hi Brenda,
Your right, we are neighbors. Thanks for replying to me. It's great that you are feeling wonderful. I am trying some water excerise now to see if I can do that. I know it will sure help. I have friends that live in Spring. What a small world. Looks like our weights are about even, from the start on down. I won't know how to act under 200 lbs. Lets keep in touch.
