Surgery again this morning....
Well, off to the hospital again today...hopefully for the last surgery until plastics. As most of you know, I had a hernia repair done in July, about a month and a half after my gastric bypass. Well, I've got what's called a "suture neuroma" from the hernia repair. Basically, my body is not liking one of the internal sutures and has developed scar tissue and nerves wrapped around it. Therefore, I've been having bouts of terrible pain, and after several tests to rule out other things, the doc has determined that this is what it is. He is going to go in thru the same incision and take care of the neuroma, and at the same time, he's going to cut out my entire old scar and make me a new one, as mine healed horribly from the hernia repair due to having an infection at the same time. I ended up having to heal from the inside out and therefore have hypertropic scarring. I thought it was cool that he offered to take care of it now...I hate my scar...but I knew that the PS would take care of it when he did my tummy tuck down the road. Anyway, I go in this morning at 9, surgery is at 11, and I should be home today. Only out of work for the rest of the week. Thanks for listening.
