I'm having a problem... could be TMI...
Cross-Posted to the main board...
This morning I woke up late as I usually do. I ran around trying to get an outfit for work, brushing my teeth, cramming some cereal down... and of course taking care of some business in the bathroom.
I was feeling fine until this point. I had to, for lack of better terms, I had to number 2. Then it hit. Horrible excruciating pain. It was as if every cramp I had ever suffered in my entire life came back and joined forces in an attempt to do me in. Every move I made made it worse. I thought I was going to tumble right off the pot. This was just like period cramps, but times infinity, and I don't really see how number 2 and the cramps are associated. And I know that it's not period cramps because I'm not due to start for another week. After about five minutes of not moving I gathered up enough intestinal fortitude to wipe and try to stand up. It felt as if my bladder and uterus were doing the mambo in five inch stiletto heels. I stumbled across the hall back to my bedroom downed a Tylenol eased myself into bed the best I could, grabbed the phone and called work to let them know I would be a bit late.
After about an hour of lying face down and drifting in and out of sleep the pain started to ease up a bit. I decided that I would get up and try to go on with my day. I eased back out of bed and slowly walked to the kitchen to get some water. I sat down in my big brown chair where I remained until an hour later. Then the pain was barley noticeable but the more I moved the more it hurt and by the time I got myself dressed, in the car, and to work... I thought I would just kill over. I'm sitting here at my desk now debating on if I should stay or if I should just go home and go back to bed.
I'm just wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem... or knows what is going on.
Now you know what I am going to say. Call your doctor. So what if it's gas let your doctor tell you that that is what they get paid for.
One of the ladies in my support groups daughter had the same complication and she thought she would wait it out. Her and I used the same surgeon. I was the luckier of the two and enough said. Don't talk yourself out of thinking it's nothing. She was like 2 or 3 months out and was thinking she was way to far out for anything bad to happen to her. That is not the case. By the time she got to the hospital it was to late. I don't want to scare you either perhaps it is not anything. But do you want to gamble that.
Call the doc please

Hi Cassie, My name is Pat and I have had two or three episodes like yours. I would say for you to check this out with your doctor. I am one to talk, I waited it out until it passed. The cramps are sooo painful you can't move and just want to lay still until they pass. I believe, for me that it was something I ate that didn't agree with me. It almost felt like it was a blockage or something. I had eaten some pork rinds, and I'm sure they did not digest well. I will never touch those again. Strawberries also did this to me once. I was close to going to the emergency room but thankfully the pain subsided. Take my advice-don't do like me and wait, go seek medical help immediately. You don't want to fool around with this, there could be something else wrong. Best to check it out. Good luck in your journey, and sorry this is so long.
