Introducing my self!
Hi there, my name is Sonia I had surgery with all of you in May too! I have been lurking and I thought it was time I introduced myself. I have to admit my weight loss is not as substantial as all of yours. I am a slooooowww loser, I had to spend a week in the hospital after my 1st month out of surgery! I was vomiting for 16 hours straight and they thought I had Pancreatitis. I was severly dehydrated and very weak. It took a lot for me to get back on my feet. I barely went back to work August 16th.
After all the that it was very hard to adjust back to the diet again and get on the protein train. I am now trying so hard to do better but I struggle...I am researching joining a support group and I am sure it will help! I think I have strecthed my puch and that scares me. Do you ever think you can fit too much food in? I am amazed sometimes of the amount I feel ike I can eat! Then again it realy isnt much in my fatter days but I still have fear that its too much? I am losing inches and I can see the diffrence in my sizes. I have gone from 26/28 to 14/16. I am very happy with those changes.
Anyway hope to share our journey together!
Sonia
Welcome Sonia!!!! I am also considered a slow loser, but I am very happy with my accomplishments. The size of your clothing has shrunk considerably. You are doing wonderfully. I went from a tight 24 to a 14/16 now. I guess we are at the same point in our journies. Give me more details on what you eat in a typical day. I am sure you are doing fine.
Talk to you soon!

Thank you for the welcome, I appreciate that!
I agree we seem to be doing about the same. I just thin i have gotten off track and then I think I freak thining that I am resorting to the old way of thinking. I will giv eyou example of what I eat in a typical day!
I am on the road by 6:15
I sip a preotein shake on the way to work. I mix lowfat 2% milk with Any Whey, Torani chocolate sugar free syrup.
Snack: 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese.
Lunch: Small chili from Wendys, maybe water or crystal light after 30 mins.
Dinner: Maybe chicken breast that is skinless and boneless about the size of my palm. Maybe some salad?
Snack: String cheese.
Sometime I will snack on sunflower seeds. I know I have good days and bad days!
What do you think? I know I need more protein and I am going to try to drink two shakes from now on.... I have trouble the minute I walk through the door! I want to snack and cheat!
I wasn't like this before I landed in the hospital, i was motivated to exercise and eat right. Since then its been so hard for me!
Thanks for any input Christine!
Welcome Sonia .. Where ya been gal !
Protein is so important to us . I am using the Nectar Products . They are whey based but taste like Juice . Much easier for me to get down then a shake .
I started In May at 297 and now down to 204 . I went from 24 26 to now 14 16 .. It can be hard some days ..
Glad you are here with us .. we are the best group around ...
Well keep us posted ok ..
Take care ,

Hi Sonia,
I had surgery the 6th of May and have lost about 62 pounds. I was thinking the same thing last night when I wrote down all I had eaten in the day. I was traveling and in airports most of the day and at the end of the day, I had eaten about 1700 calories. I did exercise for over 1/2 hour, which probably burned up 200 calories but when all was said and done, I blew it. I know precisely how you feel about being able to eat too much. I just have to get back up and make today a new day and take control over what I am eating. I think writing it all down really helps. I feel great about my weight loss and that I am in a loose size 14. But I guess you really have to use the tool as that and not think you don't have to change your thinking.
Take care.
