What can you NOT eat?
I seem to have a prissy pouch. I don't dump a lot... less as time goes on but a lot of food seem to sit really heavy on my pouch.
We all have to learn our own individual bodies and find out what works and what definitely doesn't. So what doesn't work for you? Anything unusual or surprising?
I thought it might be fun to compare some of our no no's... might help us appreciate what we still CAN manage.
Dear Less,
Much to my dismay, there is almost nothing I can't eat I've tried everything. Unfortunately, this forces me to have far more will restraint than I thought would be necessary post-op. There are things that if I eat too much of I feel bad. For example, I had been so very good for so very long so I thought I would reward my poor deprived self, so I ate a half of a PB&J and washed it down with a bit of milk. Big...and I mean big mistake. Never vomited but sure wished I could have. The nausea was accompanied by a racing heart, dizziness followed by a few trips to the restroom and after I enjoyed that for an hour or so I fell asleep from the trauma. When I awoke I felt fine again.
Good Luck!

My pouch is pretty accepting as long as I eat slowly and stop befoe i'm full. I just started eating rice and making hamburgers and chicken cutlets in the George Forman grill. I've also been trying new vegetables like ratatouille and tomato/zucchini. I'm eating more interesting foods then I ever did. I can't eat anything with sugar and the only thing that I can keep down in the AM is sugar free carnation breakfast made with soy lite .
I'm having a problem with baby carrots---it could be the sugar content.
Unfortunatly I can eat ANYTHING...wedding cake, pasta, rice, beef chicken, you name it i can eat it..Well, with one exeption..Captain D's. Maybe it is the grease...not sure. I have never dumped yet...really hoping I will someday so I can stay away from the bad stuff..but when I do eat something I shouldn't I only eat a bite or 2 of it. Someone mentioned crab leggs...boy now that souds good right now!

I can eat most things so long as I go slow and chew well. I do have a tough time with anything reheated in the microwave. I do eat sugar in small amounts and have little trouble with it. I pushed it once by eating a piece of cake and got deathly sleepy afterward. I almost wished I would dump on the sugar so it wouldn't tempt me so. I am baking cookies for my boys as I type I will eat one.
I don't eat things my doctor recommends we not eat like corn and rice. I also start with my 2 oz. of dense meat protein and finish with veggies and a bite of anything else I want like pasta, fruit, or starch.
