5 Months out and feeling great!
I was 5 months out a couple of days ago and I am feeling great. I am a little bit slower on the weight loss but, as long as it keeps coming off I will be just fine. I have lost 67 lbs. A couple of weeks ago I talked to my nutritionalist and asked her what could I do to speed up weight loss. We went over my schedule and she caught my mistake immediately. She asked me about my fluid drinking. I told her I drank when I ate and just about any time I wanted. Big Mistake! She told me if I changed this to drink 30 minutes before eating, almost no drinking while eating and then resume drinking one hour after eating I would see a great change. She was correct but, it is very hard not to drink while eating. But, I am doing it and I feel much better. I have joined Curves a little over a month ago and it is wonderful. I hope I have helped someone if you are doing the same drinking mistakes as I was. I also Hope everyone is doing OK. Doesn't it feel wonderful to be feeling so much healthier! Bye Brenda in Texas

You know, I have tried so hard not to drink while I eat but if I don't have at least a little I feel like something is stuck and feel very uncomfortable, no matter what I am eating. Also since surgery I am thirsty ALL the time so going for that long without a drink leaves me feeling dehydrated.
Is that just me?
LessMo L, It is very, very hard not to drink while eating. But, it gets easier. My nutritionist said it is OK to drink up to 4ozs while eating but if you can don't drink anything. Boy, I have to tell you though...an hour after eating I am drinking like crazy. It is well worth the wait. You will do great! ByeBrenda in TExas
Drinking is HARD not to do when eating. I will take a very small sip after I am through eating so get the food taste out of my mouth. My Dr. is always saying if we add any water to our meals we are turning our food into soup and washing the food right out of our pouch...he is right so I try to reframe...Keep up the good work!
