HI Guys... Does anyone know... what it feels like when the gallbladder starts acting up or if gall stones are forming???? What signs should we be looking for and what does it feel like??? I am having some strange pains on my right side... and wondering if this is the start of something I don't want to have to deal with. Any info or help or details would be really appreciated... Thanks, Loree -87

Some people get pain in the upper middle part of their abdomen or on the right side. Lots of time, the pain is also felt in the right shoulder or shoulder blade. For me, it felt like something inside was going to explode when I was trying to pass a stone. I was also dizzy, broke out in a sweat and was nauseated. Also, with gallstones, greasy or fatty food makes you sick and for some people, everything they eat makes them at least nauseated. I felt bad almost all the time this summer and got nauseated every time I ate. Good luck. If it is your gall bladder, getting rid of it is relatively easy and makes you feel much much better. Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Thanks for letting me know what to watch for... I don't think that is what I'm experiencing, but I'm gonna watch closely now... My pain is more lower... and it's wierd... I am probably just being paranoid... but hopefully it'll feel better soon... I've had broncitis for almost 3 weeks... and I'm PMS'ing... and been throwing up all day too... so that's all probably part of it!!!! Hopefully that gallbladder won't cause me any problems and I can get on with being a big ole loser!! Thanks for the info... Hugs, Lor

I had just eaten some sweet potato pie...this pain started on my right side in front, and radiated to my back on the right side. It was pain worst than labor pain to me. I woke my husband up and he took me to the hospital in the middle of the night. As soon as I got there I vomited all over the place. I was scare to death, I did not know what was going on, but the nurse knew right away what the problem was. I spent the night in the emergency room and was given pain medicine thru an IV. Went home the next morning and about two months later, had my gallbladder removed. Everytime I ate something that was rich, the pain came right back, and it is very hard to get rid of. Vicodin was the only thing that got rid of the pain, but that takes about an hour to kick in. Hope this helps. Hettie

Wow Hettie, That sounds HORRIBLE and I truly hope that that is not what is going on with me... I don't really eat anything rich (as that always makes me throw up anyway), and the pains I was having yesterday seem to have subsided... and perhaps it was just PMS or something I ate... I am glad that you got your GB out and that you don't have that pain anymore... Thanks for sharing your story... I'm sure that A LOT of us are better off knowing what to look for and thank you for posting your story!! Aloha, Loree

Susan, THANK YOU SO MUCH... you always have such a way of making me feel better!!! I think the feel-good fairy did come and sprinkle some dust on me last night, as I am feeling much better... I am hoping it was just something else... but I do feel better knowing what to look for and what it will feel like if it does end up to be my gallbladder, and I think everyone else might have learned a thing or two from the posts... so hopefully we all learn from it...
