Good Morning Ya'll, I haven't logged on and checked in on everyone in a while and wanted to see how things are going for all my WLS buddies! Yesterday was 4 months Post-op for me and I am down 70# from 270#. I've gone from a 26/28 to extra large tops (the girls are still DD's) and large or 16/18 pants. I get my water in but have become a neurotic mess when it comes to what I can drink. I can only tolerate purified reverse osmosis water. Tap or filtered water, which I have drank my whole life, makes me sick. I work out 5 times a week but the past couple weeks have been so slow going in the losing department I am getting very discouraged. I think I am capable of eating far more than I should be (about 3/4 c. depending on what it is.) . Soft foods I can eat a whole lot of. How about you??? Krystal

I am 4 1/2 months out. So far I am down 106 pounds. I can drink anything that is SF without any problems. I took a swig of orange juice and thought I would die as it tracked through my system. I try to drink 80 oz of liquids a day. With 64 oz of it being jus****er. I work out 4 times a week for about an hour each time. 2 times lifting weights (nothing really heavy - just more for toning) and some cardio. And, the other 2 times just cardio for about an hour. As far as food, it really is a day to day thing for me. Somedays, I can't seem to eat hardly anything, and then other days I can't stop eating. With soft mushy foods I usually I can eat more of them. I can't do anything doughy - like bread or bagels. I would say most days I can eat 1/2 cup of soft foods at a meal. I always get my protein in. What ever else I can fit in that's what I do. Fruit and Veggies sometimes I don't do well on and pay the price by getting constipated.

Krystal, sounds like your doing great! My four month B-day was the 17. I am down about 68 pounds. I started at 248. I also am in a 16, large on tops. girls are still D's as well. I eat about 1/2 cup of food at a time also. only if it is soft. dence food I can only eat a few bites. I hate water. i struggle to get in 20oz a day. I need to increase I no...they weight would come off so much faster, it is jsut hard for me. I get in about 60oz of protien through my shakes. Brenda

Krystal- I was just at the gym, reading anything my eyes would fall on, when I realized the bottled water I drink is "purified" by means of reverse osmosis. It's "Pure Life" bottled water by Nestle. I thought of you when I read that and so here I am posting. The loss will probably be slow from here forward, with the occasional magical 5 lbs off overnight. It's hard to accept that when you get used to losing a pound every two days, but it sure helps to feel as good as I do. What do you do for your workout? Do you enjoy it? Hugs, Susan

Thanks for the note! I have found a little work out buddy in a friend of mine. Although it's hard working out next to a tiny woman, it does offer a great deal of insentive! haha. We go to the Gym on Post 4+ times per week, as it's FREE! I start off with the stationary bike for 20 minutes, then the weight machines. I work my jelly arms and the inside of my thighs with the most fervor. It takes me at least another 30-40 minutes to complete the machines that I need. We then wind down in the sauna for 20 minutes. It's the best part of my day! I never could have imagined that would happen...I am excited to go to the gym!!! The weight is coming off a lot slower now but I have to remain diligent! Thanks, Krystal
