What is everybody at these days.
Michael,
Sorry for the late post I work 12-15hrs aday for the last 3 days so I didn't get to read or answer post. I am 5ft 3in started on may 10 04 at 280lbs now 197lbs - 83lbs and many inches. I couldn't be happier and know it was the right thing for me to have this surgery. I am now off bp meds and pain meds for arthritis, I walk 3 miles a day when I can plus light workout with wts . I am very fortunate that all has worked out well for me. I hope everyone else has as good experience with this gift.

Alright, but I feel like a loser...everybody that responded has lost more weight than me! And I'm depressed enough about it...
I had surgery on 5/03/04, started at 256 and today I'm 193, for a total loss of 63 pounds... LOSER! And not in a good way.
I've got to get this ball rolling, this is motivating me to do more, eat less and lose mare DARNIT!
Joy,
You are not a loser, except in weight. 63 lbs is great. Think about is - could you have lost that weight on your own and keep it off. if your like me then the answer is no way. Also everyone is different. I started at 520lbs and the larger you are the faster most of the time it comes off.
I know alot of people that are a lot further out than us and have lost less then you. Everyones body works differently.
So keep up the good work
-Mike
