Saggy skin anyone?

O.K...don't get me wrong..very happy to have lost 65 lbs so far...but not happy about losing my hair and all the excess skin. I swear...I could probably fly with the wings I have developed. Hard to fit into shirts that fit right because of my arm size do to the extra skin. Not to mention my tummy. I had two kids close together and jumped to 335lbs in a matter of 3 years - now that I am down to 210lbs - prety scary - well - saggy sight. Anyone else?

Oh yes...the landslide that is my lower body is downright hilarious! My belly button looks like some shriveled caved-in rotten piece of fruit. My wings are just hysterically funny (sometimes). I feel like I'm aging at the speed of light-wrinkly and balding. WHEEEEE. Still, I feel better than I have in 10 years! I can't EVER remember liking exercise this much. My fear of the pain and complications of plastic surgery seems to be shrinking as the skin sags lower. Truth be told, I probably won't qualify to have the ins pay for it, but I'm thinking about it already. Hugs, Susan

I'm there. Got batwings and I'm seeing the beginning of sagging in my thighs. We won't even talk about the "girls". LOL I fully expect to have plastic surgery in a couple of years. I'll take out a loan, I guess. I'm worth it! 316/249/150ish

Can you say "Sharpei Puppies"??? Well, that would explain my thighs!! They actually slap together when I walk... not rub, like they used... now they slap and make an actual slapping noise!! Oh, it's so lovely!!! Makes me wanna start singing as I walk in shorts... otherwise people will know... "here comes Loree... those thighs slapping in the wind!!" Yup... the twin peaks??? Well, they are hanging low... pointing south... and if I should happen to be walking without a bra (which ISN"T a pretty sight) then I risk bruising... (not only my eyes, but at this point my knees too!!) Ahhhh yes... the joys of weight loss!!! But just think girls (and boys) soon... we'll be talking about the plastic surgery we are all going to have!!! :jump" So, with the hair falling out... the skin flapping in the wind... the throwing up... at least we are getting thin!!!! YIPPEE!! hugs, Loree

Oh my, Loree, you have me laughing in the floor here at work. I can SOOOO relate to the slapping noise from the thighs. We have a two story house and my daughters room is upstairs. Each night and morning when i'm getting her in/out of bed and I take the stairs I hear that too. Its really funny. I told my husband they used to rub together, and now they clap lmao! Melanie

Hi Stacey.. We are all in the same boat...I had hoped my skin would of been a bit more elastic...but, to no avail..I have a few ideas.. Find a style of blouse/shirt that you like, that fits well and stick with it..maybe a 3/4 length sleeve..or some of those T-shirts from Lane Bryant that have a longer short sleeve... One thing that has worked wonders for me is a panty girdle..the kind with the high waist...cuz I'm high waisted...I tell you, when I wear that under my pants or dress for work..I feel great. I've dropped 75 lbs...from a size 3X to a size 18...and shrinking...so you can imagine how the panty girdle helps keep things in place and smoothes things out... Another thing I found was this certain type of Bali bra...it's like a foam cup style, which in the olden days I would never had worn...but it helps with support and shape......I was able to pick up several from the Ross dress for Less..for 6.00 each.. Try a few things out...maybe those "all in one"..bra/panty thingies..that's what I'm looking for next... It may be hard to find clothes to fit exactly right now...but it's not anything compared to NOT being diabetic any longer and probably adding 25 yrs to my life... Best wishes... K

I can sooooo relate to the saggy skin and my hair is coming out also. However, I have to remember why I decided to do this! Get off the diabetes medicine, blood pressure and get cholesterols in order to have a longer life span is this is God's choice. So far after surgery in May 2004, I have me these goals and lost 70 lbs. It is cheaper to buy clothes in normal sizes and since i don't spend as much money on food, who knows i may have enough some day to have plastic surgery. God speed to you all. post surgery!!!!!
