So so close
Well, tomorrow it will 19 weeks since my surgery. I am down 98 pounds - so close to that magic (albeit silly) 100 pound mark. Not that loosing 100 pounds is silly - but is the 100th pound anymore important than the 1st - or the 99th?
Anyway from not being able to walk 1/4 mile pre-op without a lot of pain - knees, back, & hips - tonight I jogged & walked over 2 miles in 30 mintues. No pain! (Well some pain but the good kind). Pre-op I had chronic nerve pain for over 2 years - I never knew how much it was impacting my life. And now it's is 99% gone.
I have done so much this summer and enjoyed it all. I went to:
an amusement park (fit in rides)
a water park (not that I got any cat calls - but no bad looks either),
a baseball game (fit in the seat)
resturaunts (fit in the booths and chairs with arms)
I am down about 12 inches off my waist.
I can teach for 3 hours and not feel like I need a stretcher to make it home.
I can buy clothes at normal places at normal prices (or gasp sale prices!)
I am not half way to my goal yet - so I still have a long long way to go. But, I am excited to continue. I am looking forward to seeing what I can do next. It seems like I surprize myself everyday with just the little things I can do now. Pick up a pencil off the floor without "getting in position". If you know what I mean stop laughing!!!!
THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP SO FAR ALONG THIS JOURNEY.
John, I am so impressed with your success thus far! You are doing great! It's wonderful to regain parts of your life that seemed like they were lost forever, isn't it? Yep, I know all about the "position".
I am nudging up to -70 pounds and am not halfway there either. We'll get there though. We just have to keep working with the tool.
Congratulations again!
Cheryl

John, congrats on being 'oh so close'!! I know you will make that century club very soon!!
I feel kinda the same way about hitting the wonderful '180 lbs' mark. Seems I just can't quite make it...I'm all over the 190's, depending on which scale you believe!! I have to believe my doctor's ones, as they are official!!
Hang in there...!!
Hugs
