hi gals, i started at 251 and have been 211 for almost 3 weeks now. i am trying to eat more protein but do succumb to the occasional sandwich, russell stover sugar-free chocolate (YUM!!!) or handful of pistachios. my main problem is nothing makes me dump so the old terrible eating habits and head hunger are dying hard. i am walking the dog a few blocks each morning as morning is the only time my arthritic knee isn't crippling. i am keeping a food diary now as have an appointment with my surgeon on the 22nd. i hope he's not too disappointed in my weightloss................. gail

Let's see a little math help.... Percent Loss = Loss so far / Total Loss for Goal Start 285 Goal 138 ---> Total Loss for Goal = 147 Start 285 Current 232 ----> Loss so far = 53 So 53 / 147 = 36.1%

I have lost 100 LBS since surgery on May 20th. But I have 300lbs to loss. So I would say I am 1/3rd or 33% of my goal. Congrats to everyone on there weight loss

Lets see, my surgery was on 5/3. I'm 5'10" started out at 405, lost 30lbs pre-op and 80 post-op..so, that's 110 total, I count it all I'd like to be at 180, so I have 225 to lose, i guess I am 49% of the way there. Shanna

Hi Donna I had my surgery on May 3rd. I started out at 256 and I'm currently at 195 w/ a personal goal of 135, so I am right at 50% there. I think you are doing very well. It sounds like you only had 100 pounds to lose, so you are considered a lightweight, and we tend to lose weight a little slower because we have less to lose, overall. Joy

Hiya Donna! You're doing great, hon! I had surgery 5-25, and suffered a horrible 5 week plateau where I lost not one friggin ounce. Once it finally ended, though, I lost about 10 lbs in 1.5 weeks. I started at 5'4 and 247 lbs, and yesterday I was 192. If i'm counting right, and you never know with my math, its 55 lbs. My goal/ideal weight is 130, so i'm a little less than half way there. Maybe 48%? You're doing wonderfully hon, just keep it up! We sure are all different, and as long as your surgeon is happy, you should be to! We're proud of you! God bless! Melanie

I don't know... I guess I'm about 40% done. I had the lecture from my surgeon yesterday about comparing myself to others LOL. He is satisfied, so I guess I should be too. So, I'm trying to just be happy with my loss and go for a realistic goal. I think you're doing great!
