I've returned to you all just like a bad penny.
My mom whisked me away to her mountain home in western NC for a few days. She wanted me to lay around and sleep and rest. Unfortunately for her, she was frustrated because I had tooooo much energy to laze about. The real benefit of the week with my mom (aside from the obvious) was that I now have more clothes to wear. She and I had both bought some classic items over the years that never go out of style and she saved them all in a variety of sizes. I brought home alot of things that I can wear now and alot that I will be able to wear soon. Who knew she had squirreled away so many pretty things????
At any rate, I am almost at 100% one week post op from the gb removal. I lost 5 pounds last week for a total of 61 pounds. Compared to some of you, I'm a pretty slow loser but to be honest, I haven't felt like exercising much in the past 6 weeks or so. I feel much much better and as soon as the doc releases me, I'm gonna start upping my exercise. I hope that'll boost my metabolism and get me going on a faster track. If not, I'll live with that too.
It's good to be back and see what you guys are up to.
Cheryl
Cheryl,
I was just wondering how you were doing and here's my answer
I'm so glad your feeling better...those nasty Gall bladders...mine was a booger before my surgery. There's no mistaking a gb attack!
Congratulations on you lose...64 lbs yah! I'm down 53 today...yah for me I really think there must be something to the protein thing...I'm testing the theory, I've found 2 that I can actually drink...small victories are sometimes the sweetest I'll see how this week goes with getting in all my protein and then I'll have a better analysis of the protein thing
Glad your back!
Michelle
Cheryl, darlin, there's no such thing as a bad penny lol! Welcome home! I'm glad you had such a wonderful visit with your mom. You planning to share those treasures with us? lol kiddin! Its great you're doing so well. Girl, 61 lbs is not slow! I'm so proud of you! You're doing wonderfully!!! And to deal with the GB too....wow. I've slacked off the exercise bike the last couple of weeks with my horrible knees acting up. Anyway, i'm proud of ya, and glad to have ya back! God bless sweetie!

Thank you all. It's good to be back "home" with you guys! I missed you last week. I'm glad to have my puter back online. With the storms going through here as a remnant of Frances, I lost service for a while but that has finally passed.
Tomorrow, if it's dry enough, I'm going to get my exercise by mowing my knee high grass! I'm trying to think of it as a good thing that it's so tall that I'll have to mow twice at different heights to get the yard back under control. LOL
Take care everybody and thank you again!
Cheryl
