I have found the greatest exercise!! I bought Dance Dance Revolution Max I for PS2 and I played it for 3 hours straight on the workout mode. Time just flew by. I poured the sweat too! I'm not very good at the game right now but I hope to get better. The good thing about workout mode is it doesn't count your mistakes against you. I'm sure I'm going to be sore tomorrow from all that dancing but oh well it was F-U-N fun! What's everyone else doing for exercise??

Hey Cassie that sounds like Fun ! My son and I watched some kids at the mall do it .. I just got my key to the health club here in my apartment complex . Yesterday I walked a Mile on the treadmeal . Is a lot different then walking outside . I had it on 3.o miles per hour and boy can you tell the difference . I also worked on the stair climber and the eliptical . Man was I sweating . I got a little dizzy afterwards - not sure what that was from . I also have bought a Taebo tape . Not to fond of it as there is a lot of crazy moves I can't do . But I love to act like I am punching .. LOL . I am getting ready to join a Jazz dance troop for begginers .. Yes , I am .. Is a lot like Jazersise -- so I sad what the heck .. Well enjoy your dancing ! Nat

I've not tried Taebo yet... but I have plenty of yoga tapes. I also have bellydancing, hula, The Firm, and the S factor which is a work out based on a strippers dance. I also bought the Carmen Electra's strip aerobics and I love it. I may just have to ad taebo to my video list.

Cassie, Do you like the bellydancing tape? I had thought about getting it. I am a TERRIBLE dancer and I thought if I got comfortable with moving my "new" hips around, maybe I'd come out of my shell on a dance floor. Would you recommend it? Thanks, Jennifer -68 and counting!

Jennifer, Belly dancing is alot of fun and a great workout. You don't need to know how to dance in order to move. Just make sure the tape is a beginner level tape. Some of them say they are beginner level and are difficult to follow. If you can find a class locally, that's a great way to start. Now that my surgery is over, I will probably start back to belly dance class. Cheryl

Cassie, Tell me about your strippers workout tape and the carmen elctra tape. That intrigues me! HAHA My husband would just love it if I learned out to strip for him. And what a great feeling that would be to even be able to do those moves. lol Which yoga tapes do you like best. I hate excersizing but this would be interesting as well as fun. Brenda Where do you find those tapes at?

Wow that sounds like a total blast!!! I'm going to have to check that out. I'm addicted to the elliptical trainer at the university fitness center. I keep wanting to spend more and more time on it. I think I should give it a man's name and then tell dh I'm going to go spend time with ____. Do you think he'll still be supportive? I have a treadmill here at home-a pretty good one at that, but I enjoy being out of the house and the air circulation is better at the gym, and the elliptical trainer has a motion that I really enjoy. I'm going to have to dig out my old TaeBo tape and do it again. I used to LOVE beating up imaginary foes. I wonder if I'm still as angry as I used to be? A friend gave me a Pilates ab dvd as a surgery gift, and my surgeon cleared me to do ab work at 3 months, so I guess I should stop procrastinating and get down to it. It's still in its wrapper. Hugs, Susan

I must have watched Taebo about a 100 times. And I never even broke a sweat. I suppose it would have helped if I got up off the couch. Seriously, I am doing more at the gym everytime I go it seems. I actually jogged a half mile on Sunday while on the tredmill. I love the eliptical machines too. But, I was told by a trainer at the gym to be sure to mix it up with a treadmill. From what he said it has to do with the lack of impact with the eliptical machines. Our bones need some impact, not too much mind you, but some to be healthy. The treadmill works great for that. Also, picking the a good stairmaster type machine is important. The best kind are the ones where you actually walk up stairs - sort of like an escalator moving them around. The ones that have you pumping without taking off your feet are good but again you want some impact. Just thought I would pass that along.

Sounds great. I'll have to try it. I joined a gym at two weeks post-op. I walk/run and weight train. Thanks for the idea Terri I have always wanted to bellydance.
