Oh my go****hought it may just be my imagination. Starting yesterday, I noticed hair in the tub after I had taken a shower. Again today, the same thing. My hairdresser told me to try Nioxin. I guess I will buy some now. I hope this doesn't go on for long. So far I've lost 60 pounds and I had surgery on May 17th. I feel really great. I walk about two miles every evening after work. I have a lot more energy than I've had in a long time. Becky

Same story will me...hair comming out by the handfuls. I have been using Nioxin for about 1 1/2 mo...its not helping...although I do like the way it makes my head tingle...LOL...but thats a lot of money to spend on a tingly head! I'm just hoping that it slows down soon. Has anyone tried to color thier hair during this rapid hair loss time...I dont want to make the loss worse, but the grey is taking over what's left. Shanna

Thanks a bunch everyone for answering. It sure does make me feel better knowing that all of you are having the same thing happen and we are all May people. I'm sure it will slow down eventually, but it can be a bit alarming at times! I colored my hair because as you said, they grey was taking over! And at 45 having a 6 1/2 year old daughter, too many people were asking if I was her Grandma!!! The hair color didn't make the hair loss any worse, I can tell you that-at least for me. I use Clairol Natural Instincts because it washes out after about 25-30 shampoos and it always makes my hair feel so soft and healthy. Plus I don't have to worry about roots showing because it washes out so gradually. AND I can switch colors now and then!! Well, thanks again to everyone!! Hope this helped a little Shanna!!

Thanks Laura...I am going to try it...and use the brand you suggested too! So, I'll either be bald or back to my normal color...at least I wont be grey...LOL! I'm trying to have a good attitude about it...the wonderful weight loss makes that much easier.

I have tried just about everything for the hair loss. Nothing is helping me. I do know they say it starts about your 3rd month and will last until your 5th or 6th month. I am now in my 4th month so I have 2 more months to go. I had very thin hair to start with and it's even worse now. I look at it this way it's a very small price to pay. I knew it was going to happen so I am just dealing with it. But if you find a cure please post and let us all know. Good Luck. Suzi Jones
