First I would like to say...
First I would like to say to everyone. I'm doing great since WLS but I want to increase my exercise activity. I feel that an increase in exercise activity would really help my weight loss. So far I've lost 58lbs. since WLS 5-11-04.
Does anyone have any feedback on Curves for Women? I feel like I need to join a gym an was thinking of Curves. I hear that it's a great place to join but just wanted to know if anyone goes there or have been there in the past if so what do you think of the fitness center.

Hi...You have done great on your weight loss. I have been a member to Curves for 3 years now. It is the ONLY exercise program I have ever stuck with and actually enjoy it.
I started going 21/2 years before surgery and just started back up this last month. (surgery was on 5-19-04) Waited for the Dr. ok to go back. I am glad to be back and love it.
Hope you join and enjoy it as much as I do. Ours offer a free week membership before you join to make sure you like it.

hello, i joined Curves last year before i had my wls. I love it. they play great music and the staff at my store is wonderfull. their like my "bar tender" i can tell them anything!!!! they are my the people who come to Curves are all supportive!!!!!! i think its worth a million bucks to go. call them they may and should give you a free workout and possibly a free week. hope this helps. jennifer from Akron, Oh
I also love Curves. It's fun! It's great exercise, and you can wear pretty much anything. No men allowed! They weigh and measure you and also have a machine that tells you what your BMI is. I love moving to the music, and there is always someone to talk to. Good luck!

I really like Curves. I've been going there since July 15th. (I had my surgery on May 24th). It's a great place for me right now. My Mom signed up with me, and we try to go together. She loves it. One thing we agree on is that we don't have to "think" about our workout -- we just go, do it, and we're done. It's fast, it's a good workout, and the environment is very comfortable.
