Ok i just read a couple posts about "stalling" with the RNY. Sometimes before a fill for me (band) i "stall". I wasn't aware that RNY did that within the first year. What about the DS and other WLS? And... I have a theory. While i stall out on the scale i tend to be losing inches and then in a week or so i go back to pounds. Does this happen to you? When you stall are you losing inches? Great job to everyone here. I am happy to know that all of us, who got into wls for the same general reason, are so supportive of eachother no matter which surgery! It's not always like that for some reason. Anyway, congrats to all of you "losers" out there! Keep it up~ Kristin band 200/149ish/120

Hi Kristin. I think we all "stall" or hit plateaus during the weight loss process. I think our body needs time to adjust to what we're doing to it. I think you're doing well and I sure do agree it doesn't matter which surgery you had, we're all here for the same thing. To learn and to be supported! Cheryl

Any one can stall, people with WLS or anyone else who is on a traditional diet. This article on protein explaine why this can happen to WLS patients so easily. I agree with Cheryl about our bodies needing time to adjust as well, and I know that you can stall on the scale and still lose inches.
