Yes, indeed... right on schedule, my hair is beginning to drop on my shoulders and pillow like leaves in the fall. I have thin fine hair to start with. They say nobody goes bald, I'll just have to trust that I won't be the first! I thought that when it happened, my knickers would get in a twist, but oddly enough, I'm pretty cool with it. If nothing else, I'll buy a wig for a while!! Hope you all are having a good day. I'm waiting for the repairman to come and fix my air conditioner. It's like a sauna here in my house. Aug in South Carolina is no time for the AC to quit!

Cheryl - Sorry to hear about your hair loss. It happens and you seem to be dealing with it very well. Are you taking any Biotin? I have been taking 1000-2000 mg a day. I know it's helped my nails and skin. As far as my hair, well I was thinning (loosing it) for a few years BEFORE surgery and so I guess I am used to it. I haven't noticed any build up in the sink or on the pillow. Good luck with the AC repair!

Hey Cheryl, After my gall bladder surgery my hair fell out in clumps. I thought I was going bald. But luckily I did not. 2 1/2 months later my hair stylist saw the regrowth. It grew in curly and thicker. Maybe you won't have thin hair anymore. Hope this helps!!! Christine 307/255/140

Hiya my sister scale slave. Guess what??? you're not alone!! I started noticing it last week in the shower. I was washing my hair and thought "what is that?" When I looked at my hand I had a big ole clump that had come out. I've noticed all kinds of little short hairs sticking out when I pull my hair back in a pony. I have a lot of hair so it shouldnt be noticable to anyone but me. I'm glad you're handling it well. Love ya! Melanie

me too. my hair is starting to come out more in the shower...but not noticing it in clumps or on my pillow or anything. I have also just started the biotin in hopes of keeping the very very long but fairly fine/thin hair.

Maybe you're just shedding on account of the heat . Mine is starting to thin, too. I didn't have a heap o' hair to start with, so this should be interesting. Today, I was painting my daughter's room and I put a bandana on my head gangsta style. I think the Stepford Moms here in Fargo-Moorhead will completely freak out if I start wearing it all the time. Hugs, Susan

Oh boy, my worst fear. YOu seem to be taking very well, lol. My hair is thin too, and if or when it starts on me, I am afraid I will be bald. I know they say you don't lose it all, but you can already see my scalp, cuz my hair is so thin!! I hope it ends fast for you. Take care sweetie!- Melissa Oh P.S. Does this mean we will lose more weight too, since we are losing hair

OK O****alm down .. Most likely the hair loss if from your surgery . Yes I know it was almost 3 months ago. But our hair is a folicle and when you have anesthisia - you weaken the roots . The roots take a while to " Let Go .. If you are not taking in your required amounts of protein - yes you may be loosing your hair . But I have a good feeling that all the hair loss that is going on here is your bodies way of recovering from the surgery . Still - even after all these months .. Just keep up the Protein and vitamins and it will eventually stop . Thanks ! Nat

You're not the only one. Mine started about 2 weeks ago. It comes out in handfulls... I stop up the shower drain... and I leave a trail of hair everywhere I go. I'm worse than my cats! I have really really thick hair anyway so I'm trying to look at this as a relief in the middle of summer and not as a bad thing. I too am thinking *if it gets too bad I'll just get a wig or two* I'm just dreading when it all starts to grow back and I have little spikes of hair sticking out everywhere. I don't want to cut my hair short but I've already warned my fiance that I may have to when it starts to grow back.

I disappeared on you guys yesterday. Got tied up with work, the AC and some other things. First.... my house is finally cool! YAY. The AC works. LOL As far as the hair goes, I don't really think it's anything for any of us to get in a twist over. Nat is right. Besides, I've seen some friends, who had gotten pretty thin on top due to insulin resistance before surgery, who now have thicker hair than they have had in years! I'm hoping that mine will do the same. I can cope with the little spikes for a while.
