Ok, I'm Right Where I Said I Would NOT Be LOL
Hi, all...OK, today I am right where I SWORE I would not be...of course, I did all that SWEARING pre-op...ROFL....
My scale hasn't moved...and well, I'm a-worrying...will I lose more? Will I stop?? I'm only 1/2 way there (-54 lbs.)....ya'll know the drill....
So, I'm telling me to STOP!!! STOP!!! and THINK!! THINK!!
I have a pic of my surgeon posted at my desk at work...work is slow/boring and well, I am TEMPTED!! His smiling face helps me to stay on track..needless to say, my co-workers think I am a NUT CASE!!
HUGS TO ALL ON THEIR JOURNEY!!

-54 Lbs.
Debbie, you're gonna be just fine. I came off my plateau a couple of weeks ago. It's enough to make a sane woman go crazy! But, stay on course. Suddenly, when you least expect it, the weight will begin to drop off again. This is normal and you're ok. Keep your eye on the target babe. You're doing great!!
I'm trying to imagine having a pic of Dr. Bo in my office. We work together. Babe, if he walked into my office and saw his pic on my desk, he'd think I'd developed a crush on him! LMAO
Hugs

Hiya Debbie! I'm right there with ya hon. I havent lost a pound in atleast 5 weeks. Two Fridays ago tomorrow I got on the scale and it still hadnt moved. I literally jumped up and down on it, screamed and cursed it, cried for a few minutes, and then threw it in the top of dh's closet. Its still there. I promised myself I wouldnt weigh again until my next followup with the surgeon, which is the 26th (next Thursday). One very smart lady here called me a scale pimper lol. She's gotta be proud I stopped pimpin! lol. God love her! Trust me when I say you'll be much happier and keep your sanity if you put the scale away for a while. It will drive you bonkers. You're doing great! God bless!

YEaaa I think It was me that said Stop Pimping those scales ..
Well we all go thru it . I did and now it just keeps falling off .
I can tell you that uping my protein , water and walking every nite sure does the trick .. I am now getting in about 80 grams of Protein . Using
Nectar - 90 cals and nothing but sweet pure protein ..
It will move .. It will ..
Take care all !

Hi Debbie~
i also swore i wouldn't let the scale affect me, but i have been fairly unhappy with the non-moving scale too. BUT i have just finally broke through a span of NO loss for 4 weeks. I was bouncing between 259-262....and then finally this week...WHAMMO!!! I'm down to 254 since Sunday. I have really made a concentrated effort to get in the water, increase protein and the number of times a week that i walk.
hang in there...it'll start moving again!!
My pre-op oaths are so similar to my pre-parenting oaths. Oh, Noooooo, MY child will NEVER watch television until she's 4. Yeah, right. Oh NOOOOO, I won't ever get freaked out by a little plateau. Yeah, right. Gotta love the enormous wisdom you have BEFORE the fact.
54 pounds is a lot of weight. My 5 y o is 52 lbs and I can barely lift her. And when I DO lift her, I grunt and groan out loud. You may be a nut case, but you are a svelte nut case.
I have heard of people who stopped losing weight, but usually that was at 6 months+, so I figure we still have plenty of time before we start REALLY fretting that one.
Keep up the great work and before you know it, the next 50 lbs will be gone, too.
Hugs,
Susan
