Shopping
I look like a little girl in her mother's clothes. Most of my stuff is hanging off me. So, I had to go to WalMart for some other items and decided to pick up some inexpensive items to wear for a while.
Let me tell you I was overwhelmed. I looked at pants and tops and just put them back. I had no clue what size to try and couldn't make myself go to the fitting rooms.
So, I brought myself and my baggy bluejeans home. LOL Maybe someday it'll be fun again. Right now, I hate the thought of buying stuff that I won't wear for long, so I think I'll just wear these pants until they won't stay up any more!
Cheryl -
I know what you mean. I hate shopping - I hate shopping - I hate shopping - but I am a guy so I think it's genetic.
But, my pants literly fell down running to my car in the rain one night after work - so I had too.
This is what I did - I tried on a size that I thought NO WAY IN HELL these will fit. The first time they did! I was amazed.
No this weekend the "phase 2" pants needed to be retired. I knew that because when I came my wife refered to me as Aladin. So off to Wal-Mart for a couple new pairs (this in an of it's self is a big deal before this Wal-Mart didn't have pants big enough.
Sure enough - again I tried on pants that I thought would never fit. They were a bit snug but certainly wearable.
Give it a shot - pick a pair of pants/jeans that you don't think will fit - and again with just one top. If nothing else - you will have a much better idea where you're at.
And who knows, you just might get something to replace your baggy jeans!
Cheryl,
WOW! this is my first time seeing your new picture...you look great! I too have the MC Hammer thing going on, and if it doesn't have elastic I can't wear it now...I still have some elastic clothing so I haven't had to go shopping...YET...I almost dread it, but my underwear are about to have to go...they litteraly droop in the bottom...good news, i know, but my daughter thinks it hilarious! I do too , but one thing at a time I cleaned my son's room this weekend and litterally pulled out a 30 gallon trash bag full of clothes, and I think if I were trully honest with myself, I could get rid of that much of my clothes...everything is hanging, but I'm not complaining
Best wishes,
Michelle
Michelle, thanks for the sweet compliment. I got a real chuckle out of the baggy underwear... it's a great mental image. Too bad I don't have that problem yet. EVerything but my underwear is falling off. Either I was wearing it way too tight, or the elastic is real strong. LOL
It's no fun cleaning out the closets.... I did that this weekend. I'll be forced to buy new stuff before fall.
Cheryl
The clothes that I am wearing right now are about 2 sizes too big. They are almost falling off. I hate to spend the money on clothes that I will be out of in a couple of months. A girl at work is wearing my next size down. She wants me to buy new clothes in her size so that she gets them when they get too big...lol.
Christine
Cheryl,
First let me say that your new picture looks great.
Second, I am the second hand queen. I am hitting thrift stores and raiding my mom's closet for clothes. I do not want to buy stuff that I am only going to wear for a couple of weeks/months. I have been wearing the same stuff for years! When I find something I like, I always bought several, in different colors, etc.
It will get better!!!
Michele
