RNY- 11 weeks out... Compare diets
Okay I know every surgeon is different, but just wanted to know what others were at by now at 11 weeks.
I'm at about 2.5 ounces Three times a day, real food, cut the size of my pinky nail. 1/2-3/4 protein each meals. Occassionally I have 4 meals a day due to my weird night shift schedule. I go by what my body tells me if I feel run down and sluggish I figure I need that extra meal that day. I don't get hungry though.
I am 14 weeks out and I am to be eating 4-6 tbsp per meal of real food. Like you it's 1/2-3/4 protein. I usually eat 3 meals a day - but somedays I don't always get that third one in.
I also have 2 protein supplements a day - usually drinks but recently I started with the protein bars in the evening - esp. if I missed that 3rd meal during the day.
I have a 6 oz cup of yogurt for breakfast; either a very small salad or a small whole wheat wrap for lunch, and a small dinner of meat and a veggie, I would guess around 2-3 ounces of meat and 1 ounce of veggies.
I also have a protein shake mid-morning and drink water (Propel) the rest of the day until bedtime.
I feel hungry only occasionally right before dinner. In fact, I feel hungry so infrequently, I think I may be eating too much...not sure. I probably shoudl write it down for a few days to see.

My surgery was on May 25, 2004....
I am currently eating about 3 to 4 ounces per meal. My breakfast is usually a scrambled egg with some mushrooms in it.
My lunch is usually a can of either tomatoe or chicken noodle soup.
My dinner is usually one of the three favorite things; a new receipe which is a salmon quesdillas with cheese, or shrimp and green beans, or chichen and broccoli. Each of these receipes is about 4 ounces total.
I usually have 2 carnation instant breakfast shakes sometime throughout the day. (I buy the o carb instant breakfast in the blue box; each serving has 5 grams of protein when made with skim milk) and then of course I usually get in about 60 ounces of water a day.
To date I have lost 65 pounds and am feeling better than I ever have.

I eat about 3-4 ounces at a meal most days and have a couple of protein snacks in between. I get hungry before each and every meal. I was hoping not to have hunger, but it's there. I eat mostly protein and am very picky about the fat content because of the GB issues. Hopefully, I've lost my taste for fatty stuff by now.
