Has anyone noticed a HUGE increase in YAWNING after they have eaten? I have uncontrollable yawning about half an hour after I eat. Am I a misfit? Any one else out there walkin around w/ their mouth wide open after eating too? Let me know. Thanks ya'll! Cheryl

I have a friend that had WLS almost 2 years ago. She yawns all the time when she has eaten. I am going to say that you are not the only one out there! -Gerriann -76.5 pounds gone forever

Not so much yawning, but I get really tired. I always tell my kids that I'm just like a baby now, you feed me and I have to lay down and take a nap

I don't yawn - I sneeze! Or at least I did. When I am eating I start to get full and it feels like a sneeze is building. If I eat another bite - I sneeze 3 - 5 times. I thought this was very odd and posting it to another board. It's pretty common as is a runny nose. I asked the surgeon about this at my last visit. He said to stop eating at the onset of the sneeze building. I was stretching my connection between my pouch and esophogus. There is a nerve in the esophogus and it triggers the sneezing. I wonder if that nerve can trigger the yawning as well?

I find that I yawn ALL The time now... I'm ALWAYS yawning... I thought it was that I was not getting in enough nutrients or vitamins... but perhaps it's "normal"... but then again... I always wonder "what exactly is normal, now??" Good luck... Keep us posted... Loree

I have found just the opposite...before my surgery, I yawned a LOT. I especially noticed it when I sat down in a chair to read my class a story or go over their work with them...any kind of talking while sitting made me yawn repeatedly. Since the school year has started again last week, I haven't noticed myself doing this. I think it's interesting how all these different "little things" are happening to us. The human body is a complex thing!

Hmmmm, I'm going to have to pay attention to this. I know I yawn alot, but I haven't thought about connecting it to anything.
