Hi Dianna! The first goal I set for myself was to lose 50 pounds. I didn't have a time limit, just to lose 50 pounds. I am now down 54 pounds and almost 11 weeks out. My next goal is to be down 100 pounds. Don't know how long it will take, but I'll get there!! Congrats to you on meeting your first goal!! Keep up the good work!

Well my first goal was to wake up after surgery - just kidding (sort of). Honestly, I have yet to set any goal. I think I might after 6 months or so but for right now, my goal is to follow orders and do what I am supposed to do. At 9 weeks I had lost 60. I am over 12 weeks out now and don't have another appointment for a week or so. I have only weighed in at the doctors office and don't own a scale. Wait! I did hop on the scale at the gym so I know I am not down to 350. That would be awesome to break the century mark. But now that you mention it, I do have a goal. To hike in and out of the Grand Canyon next summer.

Hi Dianna, I never set out after surg with a goal, nor did my Doc set a goal for me. I have lost 65 lbs in 11 wks. (we're doing good huh??) I recently decided to set a goal for myself. I would like to be at 195 lbs by the end of the year. I hope thats a reasonable goal for me. How are you doing on getting your protein and water in? What about excerise? I'm doing ok on water and protien. Have not been walking like I should be lately. Keep us posted. Good Job on your successful wt loss. Jeanne

I wanted to be down 60-75 pounds by my 3-month check-up. I may have set my goal a little high but I set it based on my 6-week loss of 43 pounds. Since I was down 43 pounds at my 6-week check-up I did not think that 25 to 30 pounds would be a lot to loose in another 6 weeks. My 3 month check-up will be Aug. 11th

Hi Dianna and congratulations on your success thus far! I only have one goal for myself, and that is to continue to lose weight. Sure i'd like for it to all fall off right away, but I know that expecting that would only set myself up for disappointment. The same is true of not meeting any goal we set for ourselves. Its very discouraging when we fail. This is why I made just one. And no time limit. As long as i'm losing, i'm happy. My surgeon stated he had no doubt i'd make my goal and lose 100% of my excess weight, so i'm taking him at his word lol. God bless! Melanie

Hi all My goal is to not make myself crazy over my first plateau. I knew it would come, and I also know there will be more along the way, but it sure is tough put up with it after losing steadily for 8 weeks or so. Other than that, I have no real goals. I'm just going to lose all I can and be happy with the outcome.

My first goal was to be under 200lbs by the time school starts back. I'm now at 204 and we go back Thursday; I don't think I'll make it by then. But, the kids come back Monday the 9th and I might make it by then. I've got tons of work to do in my room and will probably work it off in this coming week. Christie

I have the goal of weighing less than my husband. I never dreamed that would happen early into things, but with him finishing my meals, he GAINED ten pounds. I only have 15 lbs to go to weigh less than he. I also wanted to weigh less than this friend or that friend. I am not in competition with them; I just see them as being sorta "normal", so if I can weigh what they do or less, I must be "normal" myself. I had the goal of getting my bp under control and it was 120/70 at my checkup. Without meds. I had the goal of being able to ride a bike again. I bought one and rode it today!!! Hugs, Susan
