Just wondering....I hope your hunger pains hold back a bit!!! Good Luck!!

Hi Tina. I had my surgery the end of April, and there are some days that I am really hungry. I know it is emotional eating. I feel like I have just started eating, and I'm already full. Then I get hungry a little while later.
Are you drinking water? Sometimes that helps. I'm also finding low-non-cal drinks that taste good. I also started eating sunflower seeds in the shell. They're kind of messy, but they sure give my mouth something to do! Good luck. I think as our weight goes down, we will get more satisfied with how we look and hopefully want that to continue.

Some days I'm hungry, other days I'm not. Today was a hungry day. I started wanting to snack around 3:30 this afternoon. It was a huge struggle to make myself wait until dinner around 5:45. I drank alot of water and crystal light in the meantime and kept myself busy doing stuff around the house. It felt like I would go nuts waiting to eat.
Hiya Tina! I dont really get hungry unless its out of boredom. We moved a few weeks ago and I resigned from the job I had at that time. My new job begins August 2nd so i've been sitting at home a few weeks. I've noticed that if i'm extremely bored my mind always wanders to food. Even though in my head I know i'm not hungry. Its the boredom. My dietician advised me not to eat peanut butter because its high in fat. Foods high in carbohydrates do tend to make you more hungry, and cause cravings for more carbs. I try to focus on the protein in every meal and eat as much of that as possible. It keeps me full until the next meal time. I'm eating about 4 oz. of food per meal. Fruit also has a lot of sugar so I avoid that too. My dietician also recommended no more than 1 shake per day because of the high calorie count. They want me to stay below 600 calories per day. I hope this helps. I'd recommend calling your dietician for further advice. God bless!
