MAY BABES AND DUDES - HOW ARE YOU REALLY DOING !
Not many dudes replied so I thought I would change that.
I am doing good. Let's see the offical numbers (so far):
Lost 60 lbs since surgery.
Down 4 inches on the waist - and new pants are loose now.
Gave away a bunch of clothes that were too big.
Found a bunch of clothes that fit (now kinda big actually).
I am working out 3-5 times a week at a gym that my wife and I joined. I usually do 30-60 of cardio - treadmill and elipical. And lift light weights on Nautilus 1-2 times a week. My biggest obsticle is wanting do more. But I know if I do, there is a very good chance of hurting myself.
Natalie, thanks for asking!
I'm doing really well. When people ask me how I'm doing or how I'm feeling I really just start counting my blessings. There are so many things that could go wrong and thankfully I'm really not experiencing too many problems. I'm down about 38 pounds from 346. I feel great.
My biggest obstacle or challenge has definitely been getting in the protein and water. Some days I do really well and everything goes down well, and other days (like today) I can't hardly eat a bit of anything. Water is OK...I have to sip SO slowly...I just get busy (or lazy) and quit sipping and that's when I run into trouble.
I had a spell where I just wanted to sleep all day -- that was about three weeks ago. That's gone, and since then my energy has really gone up. My biggest accomplishment is related to that. I finally bit the bullet and went in TODAY and signed up at Curves. I'm REALLY excited about getting the strength training started. I've done moderately well on my walking, but am ready to add some weight. I'm looking forward to muscles!
My first workout is tomorrow and as of next week I hope to report more energy and a boost off this mini-plateau.
Until next week!
Marcia
