I'm having an issue...

This is kind of nappy but for the past couple of days I've been having a "slime" issue. Basically it feels like I have snot on the back of my throat and I can't get it out. And eventually I throw up a couple of big wads of slime but it's still there. I know this is just gross but I'm at a complete loss on what to do--any suggestions? Thanks in advance! Carol

Carol, Up until 3 days ago I would throw-up phlegm every morning...with no fail, but for what ever reason, no sicky in the Am for 4 days now Try to hang in there, but I was about to call my PCP for something to dry me up...I can still feel it when I lay down, but for what ever reason I haven't gotten sick lately... Best wishes, Michelle

I have that problem too. I do well on Benadryl, which seems to keep the mucus production down, and hot tea or broth washes it on through before I eat so that I don't . Dairy products can increase mucus production, so you might want to avoid them at the times of day you have slime problems. I don't seem to have to; the Benadryl first thing in the morning does the trick for me. Hugs, Susan

Susan--You are my HERO today!!! I tried the hot tea and it worked wonders. It has made all the difference. Thanks a bunch! Carol
