Throwing Up!

Loree... I feel ya on the "wish I'd known then what I do now"...... Surgery - May 4. Even now, I'm still nauseaus/vomiting, on a good week only one time a week. Anyway, i was fine a week or so, they thought mine was from pain meds, liquid Lortab. Stopped that, and was still ill. I refused to call, thinking it was "just me"...and would go away. Finally, couldn't stand it any longer. Four weeks out, I went in and they did a scope, to see what was going on. The scar tissue sometimes closes the opening too small, they said. My problem? I had an ulcer in my new pouch. Horrible liquid medicine was supposed to take care of this problem....yet daily I'm bleh. Nothing tastes good. Nothing sounds good. If I'm lucky, I don't heave when I eat. Most often, its jump and run. Otherwise, I suffer nausea daily. I keep thinking again, it will get better. ::sighs;:: I keep my fingers crossed. Protein? I'm bad. Need more. Milk makes me sick too. Good luck. Mention the possiblity of an ulcer to your doc. To top it off? I won't lose weight if I don't eat enough. 40 pounds down now, almost 2 months out, and they tell me to eat more. Any day I can get in 3 meals, and keep it down, is a good day!!

I had a somewhat similar problem. I had my surgery on May 20 and everything was going pretty well until a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't necessarily throwing up food but rather this foamy, slimy gunk. For about 2 weeks this went on and then suddenly it was over. Now it occurs once every 10 days or so. Has this happened to anyone else? Plus this foamy thing, does anyone know what's going on there?
