? for all about exercise
I have been walking for about 2 weeks now. I'm up to 2 miles, and it takes me about 30 minutes. I am planning to incorporate some yoga, too...I bought a beginners' video and a mat. I've just been a little squirrelly about the stretching affecting my incision (I had open rny and my incision site is about 10 inches long). There is a Curves in my town that I've considered joining, but being a single mom on a tight budget I'd rather find a video or two that I could use at home.
I do water areobics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for an hour. I'm the only one under 60 but I get a good workout. The instructor is 50ish and is really in to the whole thing. Then I walk at least 2 miles on those evenings. Then on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday I walk 2 miles in the mornings and 2 miles in the evenings. Sometimes I do a little more. It depends on my son - he rides his bike while I walk. There are times when he is not ready to stop at 2 miles!
I've kinda gotten addicted to this whole exercise bit. It's great!
