Those of you who still get them.......Have you gotten your period since your initial one after surgery? Is your cycle the same? Different? I have not had one since surgery......

I was having my period when I had surgery. Then I had another one June 5th and then I spotted a little a couple of days ago. I have always had very hard, heavy periods, but these last ones have been quite light compared to before. I hope this continues. I have read some posts where the ladies say their periods get much worse with harder cramps. I hope that doesn't happen to me!!

I'm still regular ol' me... I do hope they get shorter as I get lighter.

I finished up my period a day or two before surgery and didn't have one right after like many do. I should have had another around June 13th. I had an appointment with the GYN Monday and starting in the waiting room. He put me on the Ortho Evra(sp?) patch. So far it's been a normal period. I'm hoping the PMS and heavy flow will lesson with the patch. Christie

I had mine a week before surgery and started again the morning after my surgery. It was awful. I have had one since and it was actually pretty light. I hope they all stay that way.

Mine was right on schedule. I got mine 4 days after surgery. Right when I should have gotten it. Needless to say, I wasn't too thrilled to have to be dealing with that so soon after surgery. Surgery pain on top of massive period cramps. Let me tell you I was drinking my pain meds like it was juice...LOL

Hello all, Mine was 4 days after surgery, which was a week early for me. I stopped taking BCP's since I was messed up. My gyn told me I should have kept taking the pill. I will start back again on time. Have a great day Michele Mason -30

My hysterectomy a few years ago took care of the period question for me.

Amazingly... that is the only part of me that is totally normal!! hee hee I got mine actually a day late, but all was fine... didn't seem any heavier or lighter... I went off the pill 4 months before surgery as they wanted no chance of blood clots etc... and am not going back on it as they say that the absorption level is MUCH lower after surgery... I am going to try the new ring thingy that you leave in for 3 weeks and take out for 1... should be interesting... wanted to try the patch, but you have to be under 200 lbs. for the effectiveness on that too... (and unfortunately I'm NOT there yet!!) By the way... had an appt. with my nutritionist this morning... and I'm officially down 39 lbs! YIPPEE!! Good luck all... love & hugs, Lor
