Hi all, Do you find yourself at impuse wanting to take that peice of candy that is in someones candy dish? But don't reach for it just look at it? I do, then I walk away and say to myself I am so much better with out it.

Sure - almost everyday. I would say I'm 99% percent successful at not having any. In fact, the only candy I have had is 3 peanut M and M's - not too bad for 8 weeks. Funny thing is they didn't taste good.

Diane that is just too funny. I do the same thing but with other foods that I cannot have. I have my daughter eat them and tell me how they taste.

I have found myself eyeing my son's M & M's a few times. I even pretended like I was gonna eat one once to see if my hubby would freak out. But, I haven't tried any and don't think I will anytime soon. Funny, I was a huge chocoholic before. But, I've replaced the candy craving with the occassional teaspoon of natural peanut butter. My family has been SUPER good about not having chocolate in the house (it's a huge weakness of mine), but I have a TERROR of dumping so I haven't been too tempted. I did go out and buy some Sugar Free Creme Savers (strawberry and creme) and I love to have one in the evening. I can't imagine the horror of working near a candy dish, though. Kudos on your amazing will power and sensibility! Hugs, Susan

Sometimes I do that with my husband. I tell him I eat through him. He just laughs and tells me that i better not make him fat doing this. Got to love him, such a good sport. I can honestly say that I haven't tried any chocolate or candy. I just don't want it and I have a huge fear of dumping. I just really really miss my carbs (bread...yummy). I have always been a carb person, not a candy person. Still going strong...just pray that I keep it up. Kerry Lap RNY 5/11/04 225/179

I am afraid of dumping, even on a small piece. Oreo's are looking really good though. Michele Mason -28

I bought a bunch of sugar free mints. They help with the horrible taste in my mouth and also take care of my candy craving. I eat 2 or 3 of the things a day.
