New Drum roll 651.5 lbs. gone forever
Hey congrats to everyone! You can add my 27 pounds to the "gone forever" total. Had my surgery 5/25/04. I really want to know how you all are feeling. I'm thirsty mostly, not hungry much at all, everything (even water) upsets my stomach for 5 or 10 minutes, have much more energy, as long as I can eat enough and don't get weak, as a result. Overall, I've been feeling excellent. I have had no problems and am 100% satisfied with my decision to have the surgery. I was so lucky to have such teamwork with all my doctors. Medicaid approval is very hard to attain, and usually takes a long long time to actually get the surgery. I owe me second chance to my doctors and I thank GOD and Dr. Faulkenberry, whom performed the bypass surgery for me knowing that he would receive only a fraction of the charges from Medicaid. He wanted to help me because of all of my health problems. He will never be forgotten, and always will be appreciated for his compassion and kindness.
