Tuesday's Question

I hope Cheryl doesn't mind if I start the question of the day today but there is something I'm curious about. What are you doing for exercise, if anything? I am walking 1.5 miles in the morning and 1.5 miles in the evening on Tuesday and Thursday. I walk on the weekends, too, but don't have a set routine. I just started water arobics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The class is 1 hour each morning. My scales have been stuck for a week so I'm hoping the added exercise will get it moving again! ~ * Alice Ann * ~

Wow Alice, You are on the move. I was just released to begin activities last week and we were at the beach. So, I walked tons and have been back on my bicycle. I'm also going to start some floor exercises tonight. I am now able to get in some old jeans, just can't zip the dang things. So, I'm going to start doing some sit ups, leg lifts, etc. My goal for this week is to have an actual exercise program set up before the end of the weekend. Christie

I wish I could say I was exercising, but I'm not. I'm easing back into work right now and have to nap when I get home. I'm hoping to have more energy soon so I can start doing something.

I am doing water aerobics Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. If the YMCA is having it that day, that is if the instructors are there. 1 hr. a day after work 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Love it they do different things every day. Yesterday they did mostly the thigh/legs. I sure can tell if I miss a day. I get edgey, grumpy, fidgity(sp?). Have a good day. Diane Lap RNY -35#

Wow Alice you are doing great on the exercise. I haven't really pushed it that much. I guess I better get moving. TeeHee! Does running after my 2 & 1/2 year old grandson count? Just kidding...I only see him a couple of times a week. You guys have a great week. ByeBrenda

I have been trying to walk at least 2 miles per day + do some other kind of 'fun & new" exercise each day for 30 mins. I start work next week, so I will compensate for time by either pushin my walking distance + time up or walking 2 miles morning + night every day. On select days I want to be able to take some different classes (volleyball, aerboics, African Dance, tennis, etc.)- Belly Dancing is something I've heard works wonders for the gut + booty. Tonight I am doing a Jazzercise tape after Last Comic Standing. I love how honest this site keeps me- thanks Alice!

I was walking 2 miles a day and one day even did 4 miles in under an hour and and half. Now, that I am back to work my walking is fallen off. I should say my walking exercise has fallen off. I walk a bit a work but it's not the same. I wanted to sign up for a water aerobics class but my doctor said he would prefer if I wait until 12 weeks for something that intense. Water walking would be fine for now. But who wants to walk in water? I did get permission to start VERY SLOWLY with weights after eight weeks - which for me is up on Tuesday. So, I am hoping to get back into things next week.

Walking a half hour every day and working out on my Gazelle for 20 minutes a day. It makes me feel great...and the inches are falling off. No sagging yet, and I have lost 40 pounds!! yeah!! Jeannie
