OK, I've heard all about losing hair and everyone's fears around that. I happen to have hair enough for 5 people, so let's just say, losing any noticeable amount has not made the top of my fears list. HOWEVER, I do want to know if anyone if experiencing an itchy, painful, sore to the touch scalp? I have never dealt with this before and at first I thought I had a real dry scalp, but its not dry, I keep my hair clean (trust me) and conditioned and it is REALLY bothering me. It hurts whether my hair is up or down, wet or dry, etc. Somtimes it even hurts to lie on it and last night as I was trying to massage my scalp I noticed some very, very tender spots. Is my scalp gonna cave in? Talk about bad dreams! lol! I hope someone out there knows what's going on. I don't see my doctor for another week! P.S. I am only getting about 30-40 grams of protein in a day. Is that enough?

You have STUMPED me! Don't know what the heck it is, but let us know when you find out! As far as the protein goes, you should be getting 60-80 grams a day at your stage. DOUBLE UP G/F! Good luck, Chery

I don't think your scalp will cave in. I noticed that my scalp was a bit more tender and the consistency of my hair changed. I attributed it to the shock of the surgery. I haven't experienced anything like what you describe, though. I agree... you need more protein. Good luck!
