help having promblems

i had my surgery on may 17 2004 and I have lost 32 pounds, but lately Iam not hungery and almost everytime I eat I have to run to the bathroom.1 month later Ihave only lost 32 is that good? I excersise on the bike and walk 30 minutes. Iam feeling like iam not losing enough. help

If you are vomiting after you eat and it is something new and you can't keep ANYTHING down, you may have a stricture. If it keeps up, go back to liquids and call your doc.

I had my surgery on 5-18 and have only lost 22 lbs. You are doing good! I too am having trouble with keeping foods down. Seems like everything gets stuck. I know I am not getting enough exercise, but I suffered staph infection from the hospital and it has taken weeks to get over that.

I had my surgery on the 17th and I am down 32 lbs as well!!! But, I unlike you are happy with my weight loss. The first 22 came off in the first 10 days and it's not coming off as fast but I am happy nonetheless!!! Hell...the way I see it....IT'S COMING OFF!!!! Everyone loses differently and you have to remember that! You are doing GREAT!!! Keep up the exercise!!! (I just got back from my 2 mile walk....BOY do I feel Good!!!!) Wendy

HI, Call your Dr. My surg was 5/13 --- last week I realized something wasn't going right and ended up I had a stricture. All was going well on liquids for 4 wks, once started soft foods I noticed things weren't going down as well, then it got to the point that I was throwing up after every "feeding", whether food, water, etc. (you really have to watch out for dehydration) It didn't really hurt, but just felt that everything just sat on my chest and nothing went down. I called my DR, after I gave them the list of symptoms -- sent me right to the Gastroentorologist. Who promptly did an Endoscopy & dialated the opening into the stomach! Wonderful --- I could feel the difference right away! Have been eating and drinking just fine since. Best of luck, Pam RNY 5/13/04 263/224
