No appetite and one other question

I am almost 2 weeks post op. I am still at the liquid mushy stage. I have no appetite. I spoke with my nurse today and was very insistent that I get some proteins. Also does anyone have any information on spices/seasonings that are a NO NO

She's right! You need the protein to keep from losing muscle mass and to keep your metabolic rate high enough to lose weight. Good source for protein are: Carnation Instant Breakfast (Grocery Store) MET-RX (General Nutrition Centers) Whey Protein Shakes (Health Food Stores) As for spices, I've been told to stay away from chili powder and cayenne pepper.

In terms of spices, I haven't been told to stay away from anything. I find that I crave spicy foods and at one point even pureed some salsa just to get the taste I craved.
