has anyone had to be dialated?

It's been a little over 3 weeks for me and by my 2 week i had to have my opening between the stomach and intestine stretched, it had closed up. since then the Dr is concerned it will close up again and i am a wreck with stress and can not keep much down. anyone have to go thru this with any good advice?

Hi Cathy, Looks like you live in my home town. My folks live in Harpursville (out in the boonies), most of my family live in Binghamton, Johnson City or Endicott. Although I was born there, my dad was in the military and we moved a lot, but we always went back to NY when he got sent somewhere that we couldn't go. Anyway, as far as the stricture, don't worry about it. You had one Endoscopy, you can have another. My GI guy told me some people can have up to 4 dialiations. They thought I had a stricture yesterday and I had the Endoscopy and come to find out I have an ulcer that is causing all my problems. Just take it slow and try to get in as much as you can. Don't worry if you can't get all of it in. It takes time and remember everyone recovers at their own pace. Good Luck to You! Luanne 334/307/160
