Sex...

Has anyone had sex under one month post op. my Doc never mentioned i couldnt have sex he just said to make sure i dont get pregnant.... ummmmm HELPPPPPPPPPPP MY hormones are running like a some one with any good advice greatly appreciated.

no sex for me. I am still waiting for my six week post op check up. I have had no complications...but I still have a bit of tenderness at my port site and some pain inside from a greenfield venous clot filter. I;d rather wait and be say than sorry. Arleen, I had sex with my husband just under 2 weeks of my surgery. We took it very slow and easy. I did just fine. I was like you my hormones were running out of control. Good Luck!!!

Yep. I have lost about 20 lbs, and I felt a lot more comfortable with my body. I think I would not have made it to wait one month out! I am 2 1/2 weeks out and loved it!!!

Arlene, My husband and I had sex a little over 3 weeks out for the first time. Everything was fine. Do make sure you are on birth control or use birth control because you don't want to delay your progress unexpectantly. Have fun take it easy if you don't feel comfortable change positions or wait a little longer.

My doc told me I could go back to my usual routine as long as it didn't hurt, so at about 2 weeks post op we did it. Just be careful and don't let him put too much pressure on your tummy. Christine

my Dr. never said when I could have sex, so at the end of my 2 weeks ... My hubby was very tender and listened when I told him something was hurting. I have a very caring, romantic, tender man.

I had sex 10 days out. I had gone to my check up and my doctor told me that it was ok to resume normal activities, so I assumed that that meant it was ok to have sex again so i did it. No problems, no pain.........
